Will the Real Queen Stand?

in #history7 years ago

Over the past few weeks there has been a lot of controversial conversation over the newly revealed bust of the beautiful black Queen Nefertiti, but wait a moment in this bust of the queen she is not black at all, but white. Yes I said it she is white! We know that Egypt is known for their people of rich dark brown skin tone and so why would anyone think that King Tuts mother would be white? Well the real reason is because over there seems to be a trend of whitewashing history. So the original people of Egypt were depicted by themselves as light brown to a dark rich black skin tone much like this:

This mean in fact that odds are Nefertiti was a beautiful black queen, not a while woman with thin lips and green eyes. Like the bust we seen this past week unveiled.

The real queen Nefertiti would probably have been something more like this painting of her showing her beautiful brown skin and her Egyptian features, not that of a white woman from Europe. Not that there is anything wrong with this woman it is just not a true depiction of an Egyptian woman or the Queen Nefertiti. Furthermore "Nefertiti is remembered as one of the most beautiful women in history, but her accomplishments are anything but skin deep," said Gates. "She was a powerful pharaoh and ruled during one of the most prosperous times in the ancient world. But like many of history's most important female figures, her legacy has been obscured."
