Insane world war 2 tactics

in #history7 years ago

World war 2 is still studied in different parts of the world. Since, it is the first war in which airplanes have been used, it has been a historians' fantasy.
I will be sharing some of the insane tactics which has been used by different countries to defeat opponents.

Bat Bomb- It is one of the insane tactics in which the Americans placed a hibernating mexican free-tailed bat in each and every compartment of a canister. And there were thousands of compartments. A timed incendiary bomb is also attached to the canister. Each bomb weighing over 120 kilograms, were dropped on Japan's infrastructure resulting in its destruction.

Operation Bernhard- How strange it is if in a war, a country decides to drop money instead of bombs? Every country was determined to defeat their enemy not only by destroying their forces but also by destroying the economy. British forces thought they have become rich after Germany dropped fake British currencies.
Knowing enemies' weakness and exploiting those weakness is a great tactic even today.

Airborne leaflets propaganda-

Wait, they are filling papers instead of gun powder in these bombs? what good does it do? Well, they aren't normal papers. I mean they are normal with something damaging on it. During world war, everybody wanted to be home especially when you have been forced to fight the war. This was how britishers exploited that weakness of german soldiers. They dropped leaflets which comprises of different tricks on how to fake an injury.
World war two has been a psychological war as much as it was a war with bombs, guns and grenades.
This tactic has been used not only in world war 2 but also in the first world war and in korean war, 1950.
