The story about Mr. Sandwich being the one who invented it all, is just a story... nobody really knows where this all started. The one fact we can find is, flatbreads are made and eaten by humans since ever and ever. The idea of bread with a filling is very ancient in many cultures. So that's that...
Today I would like to start a tribute to this invention in the "art of eating" by putting something on or between bread. A library of deliciousness to give everyone an idea how complex and colorful this still simple construct of taste has become.
What is a sandwich without meat? - It is nothing but bread!

That's about it for me, bread and some meat... Though i have to admit that in the last years i started creating more vegetarian style sandwiches then the "carnivore" versions and i love it. Actually, as long as i got me some bread, i'm a happy fellow...
Now why another seperation, why another community and only for sandwiches you may ask!? At this moment writing a description i'm not really sure yet. It may just be some more work for a nothing burger. But i looooove Burgers!!!
For sure there is already at least one excellent community out there covering all the deliciousness a foodie would look for. Though, me personally, it's much too much checking and searching to get me my FFOAT- my favourite food of all time! Yeah, you guessed right - Sandwiches!
Also, i'm only interested in the personal cuisine of a blogger, especially the "amateurs", which IMHO are often showing better cooking then the "pros". What bores me the most, are all the restaurant reviews, i can do better and cheaper at home. Worst of all are the Sub's, Mac's and King's.... no thanks. Healthy food is my number one priority and none of these pseudo-nutrition-machines can offer that.
Being a lover of bread in all it's many ways and compositions, with my motto "No-Waste-Of-Taste" makes me create some fancy monsters, especially with the yummy left-overs from the last view days... Lizzie knows what i'm talking about here. HeHeHe!
Now, here comes my NRWE (No Rule without Exception). Since there is also the "pizza", which for me should actually counts as an open-sandwich. I always fold these baked dough patties in half and voilà, a sandwich is created. Pizza offers one of the best hot sandwich and that's a "Calzone"... Yummy Yummy!
So, all you Sandwich Lovers out there... please show us all your daily creations, to fill this library with some deliciousness and to make me run to the kitchen for another bready delight. The "rules" are easy peasy...
