Greetings my dear friends of Hive. I hope you are well, both you and each of your family members. Today I want to tell you about the odyssey of finding a place to eat that will adapt to our budget without losing the quality of the food we wanted to buy. Here is my publication and I hope you enjoy reading it.
Saludos mis queridos amigos de Hive. Espero que se encuentren bien tanto ustedes como cada uno de los miembros de su familia. Hoy quiero contarles la odisea de encontrar un lugar para comer que se adaptara a nuestro presupuesto sin perder la calidad de la comida que deseábamos ingerir. Por acá les dejo mi publicación y espero que sea de su gusto leerla.
My beautiful father invited my mom and me to lunch. He wanted us to spend a different afternoon at a nice place to eat and relax a bit because we were very tired, as we had to run a number of errands during the day that left us exhausted. Actually, my mom and I were the ones who were so tired that we didn't want to cook. On the other hand, my dad wanted to take us because he had been busy with other things and could not accompany us on the errands we ran, however, like a gentleman he came by looking for us and took us out to dinner.
Lately my dad has had a bad colon and is on a healthy diet, so only my mom and I were going to eat. My dad had already eaten his vegetables with grilled chicken and salad at home, but we wanted chicken broaster and my dad took us to a very well known restaurant called Arturo's. I'm sure many of you have eaten it before. I'm sure many of you have eaten there and you will agree with me that the chicken there is delicious and the salad is exquisite, the truth is that I have always liked that restaurant.
However, when they gave us the menu, we realized that everything was very expensive and although my dad was going to pay by cashea (a credit system that is very fashionable in Venezuela), I convinced him not to do it. I told him that I knew a more affordable place.
Mi hermoso padre nos invitó a mi mamá y a mí a comer. Él quería que pasáramos una tarde diferente en un lugar bonito para comer y relajarnos un poco porque estábamos muy cansados, ya que durante el día tuvimos que realizar una serie de diligencias que nos dejaron agotados. En realidad, mi mamá y yo eramos las que estábamos tan cansadas que no queríamos cocinar. Por otra parte, mi papá deseaba llevarnos porque él había estado ocupado en otras cosas y no pudo acompañarnos en las diligencias que realizamos, sin embargo, como todo un caballero nos pasó buscando y nos llevó a cenar.
Últimamente mi papá ha estado mal del colon y tiene una dieta saludable, así que solo íbamos a comer mi mamá y yo. Mi papá ya había comido en casa sus verduras con pollo a la plancha y ensalada, pero nosotras queríamos pollo a la broaster y mi papá nos llevó a un restaurante muy conocido llamado Arturo's. De seguro muchos de ustedes habrán comido allí y concordarán conmigo de que el pollo de allí es delicioso y la ensalada exquisita, la verdad es que siempre me ha gustado ese restaurante.
Sin embargo, cuando nos entregaron la carta, nos percatamos de que todo estaba muy costoso y aunque mi papá iba a cancelar por cashea (Un sistema de crédito que está muy de moda en Venezuela), lo convencí de no hacerlo. Le comenté que yo conocía un lugar más accesible.
My dad ignored what I told him and we went to the first floor of the mall to eat hamburgers at a place that is very good but after we sat down I mentioned that I didn't want hamburgers, I really wanted chicken broaster and I told them again about the cheap restaurant that sells good quality chicken broaster, but since my mom was very thirsty they took the opportunity to have a beer before going to the place I was recommending.
Mi papá hizo caso omiso a lo que le dije y fuimos a planta baja del centro comercial a comer hamburguesas en un sitio que es muy bueno pero luego de sentarnos yo mencioné que no quería hamburguesas, realmente quería pollo a la broaster y volví a comentarles del restaurante económico que vende buena calidad en cuanto a pollo a la broaster se refiere, pero como mi mamá tenía mucha sed aprovecharon de tomarse una cerveza antes de ir al lugar que yo estaba recomendando. Aunque tenía mucha hambre, esperé con paciencia porque mis padres accedieron a mi petición.
After drinking the beers we went to “El mejor pollo de Aragua”, that's the name of the restaurant I said, we saw the menu and it seemed good to choose the combo that brings half roast chicken or broaster, you can choose the one you prefer, it also brings arepas, salad, garlic sauce and a liter of soda, all for ten dollars. It seemed affordable and since I had eaten there before, I knew that they sell very good quality food. We made the payment without using credit and went to sit down to wait for our order.
Luego de tomarse las cervezas nos fuimos para "El mejor pollo de Aragua", ese es el nombre del restaurante que yo decía, vimos la carta y nos pareció bien elegir el combo que trae medio pollo asado o a la broaster, puedes elegir el que prefieras, también trae arepas, ensalada, salsa de ajo y un litro de refresco, todo por diez dólares. Nos pareció accesible y como yo había comido allí antes, sabía que venden la comida de muy buena calidad. Hicimos el pago sin usar el crédito y nos fuimos a sentar a esperar nuestra orden.
Friends, the chicken was delicious 😋 my mom and I ate with gusto. My dad noticed that we ran out of salad fast and asked for an extra serving of salad and it was great. Everything was very tasty, my dad only tried a little piece of chicken because of his colon problem and my mom did eat a good portion.
Amigos, el pollo estaba delicioso 😋 mi mamá y yo comimos con gusto. Mi papá notó que la ensalada se nos acabó rápido y pidió una ración de ensalada extra y fue genial. Todo estuvo muy rico, mi papá solo probó un pedacito de pollo por su problema del colon y mi mamá si comió una buena porción.
The place is very cozy, has a big TV and the staff is very friendly. There are still places where we can enjoy with our loved ones without paying such a high price. The idea is to walk around and try it. This place is already one of my favorites because it is not only economical but very familiar, it also has a very soft background music, so if you don't want to watch TV, you can sit further away and enjoy the music.
El lugar es muy acogedor, tiene un gran televisor y el personal es muy amable. Todavía existen lugares en los que podemos disfrutar con nuestros seres queridos sin pagar un precio tan elevado. La idea es caminar y probar. Este sitio ya es uno de mis favoritos porque no solo es económico sino muy familiar, además tiene una música de fondo muy suave, así que si no quieres ver TV, puedes sentarte más lejos y disfrutar de la música.
