Greetings from Dhaka Bangladesh. Today, I am going to talk about preparing penat chikki. In bengali it is called 'motka' which is found mostly weekly market in the rural area. Also we can get it in city in the street. People know it as a street food. It can be made with sugar and also jaggery. I like to eat it but my younger sister like it most. Three days ago she told me 'Apu' ( means sister) I want to eat penat chikki. Could you made it for me. I said, I will do it. Then I start to make it.

At first I took 2 cup peanut . Then I fry it in a low hit. After finishing fry I leave it for cooling.

It took 25 minutes for cooling. Meantime, I was arranging other things. After cooling I blend it in a blender.

One the other hand, my younger sister make caramel. At first she took a frying pot. In bengali it is called 'korai'. Then she put 2 to 3 cup sugar in it and made a caramel.

My sister used brown sugar to made caramel because it is better than white sugar. So to made any sweet things I use brown sugar.

Now she is good at to prepare it. So I gave her the responsibility to prepare it. When the reddish colour appeared I put peanut in it. And stove hit would be low. Then I mix it well.

I took a plate and took a few drop of oil and put in it. Then spread over the plate. I did that because peanut chikki cannot be sticked. And has another benefit, it doesn't become hard too early. Then I put off the frying pan from the stove and poured the peanut on that plate.

This time we should be careful because it was so hot. I tried to give a round shape. Then I cut into pieces by the help of a plastic knife. I cut it first horizontally then verticality.

Then I made 'M ' shape by using those penut chikki. 'M' is the first letter of my husband name. Then leave it to cool. After cooling I store it in a jar.

That's all for today. Thanks for reading my post. See you next blog. Have a great day.
