Hello all of my friends of Hive universe. I hope you are all well by the grace of Almighty. After a long time, I am back. Today, I am going to talk about salad of wood apple or monkey fruit.
In my last vacation, I went to my home town Gopalganj. During that time, I ate many fruits in my home. One of them was monkey fruit. I went pond side to breath fresh air. In the evening, I and my younger sister usually went there. Then my eye went to the monkey fruit tree. It contains monkey fruit. I became so happy to see fruit ☺️. Because I love to eat monkey fruit. I wanted to eat. So I picked up one fruits. Then I came to home.
In Bengali wood apple is called " kodbel". Our monkey fruit tree was contained flower, some small fruit, some medium fruit and also some big at a time. I picked up the biggest one. It's flower looks so beautiful.
Some benefits of eating monkey fruit :

- It supports digestive health
- It reduces the risk of infection
- It prevents respiratory ailments
- It also helps to manage diabetes.

After coming home, I started to make monkey fruit salad.
Ingredients :
- one monkey fruit
- Green chilli
- salt
- Sugar
- Tamarind
At first, I broke the monkey fruit. Then I separated the edible part from the wood or hard part by using a spoon.
We had some chilli crop in our yard. Some chilli crop contained green chilli and some contained black colour chilli. I picked up some fresh green chilli from our chilli crop.
After that, I started to made it. I took a manual grinder. With the help of that grinder we can grind any fruit by using our hand. So I used it to grind monkey fruit.
At first put monkey fruit inside the grinder and grind it by using my hand. I took 6 two 8 green chilli and put inside the grinder. You can also use dry red chilli those are fried. After grinding those chilli and fruit I added salt,tamarind and also added sugar 3 table spoon. Then mixed it well. You can use more sugar if you like sugar taste more.
This time I added tamarind later because my mother and brother not like to tamarind with wood apple. As I liked to eat tamarind with wood apple so added it later. And my younger sister and I ate together that. Basically this fruit taste is
sour before ripening . After ripening, it become sour and sweet taste. As it was not going the ripening stage. So to got the sour taste properly I added 4 to 6 spoon of tamarind water. That day my salad taste was sour, sweet,and spicy together.
