As part of our conspiration to celebrate @adncabrera's birth two weeks ago, her daughter, @octocel, needed some help to bake two cakes to create a design. Since their oven is not working properly, I suggested her to come to my house and bake here to ease that problem. Of course, in my house the oven is electric, so we could have had a power cut and then, no cake at all. Fortunately, that's not what happened.
Let me tell you about making cakes with pre-made mixes. It is not the ideal thing. You cannot change many ratios and are fixed to whatever the package says. But you can add some things to make the batter better. For example, lime juice and more vanilla extract.
Under the dutiful work of two people who like baking, we had the mixtures ready for the oven in no time at all. We even spend some time chatting while we waited for the cakes to bake. It was an interesting experience. I have to say that I have never been too keen about sharing the kitchen space to make anything. It tends to be cumbersome. People usually don't have the same pace and stuff gets complicated. However, with @octocel, this time things were smooth. While she was preparing some things for the molds, I was mixing the wet ingredients of the cake. Then, we both had our fair share of arm workout finishing the mixing process adding the dry to the wet.
Then, pouring into the mold. Finally, into the oven. While we waiting, she spend those minutes telling me about the decoration ideas. Those are part of the post of the party and will come live soon. Let me tell, I know her for her artistic skills and she takes those with her while making everything else. So the cake ended up being both taste and beautiful.
I'd definitely get together with her to bake more things. The best part is that we have already done it!

Querido @bertrayo , trabajo y un dedo chueco por una herida me han impedido pasar antes por aquí. La torta fue deliciosa y hermosa. Realmente buena.
