Anytime pizza is made at home, it is a reason to celebrate. Yesterday, I ate the last slice of these pies. But they lasted quite some time since they were made last Thursday.
On the topic of having some pizza at the end of the day, I can recall that Thursday was the day of painting duties at the workshop. Had this instrument that needed lots of repairs and getting to the paint job was the sign that the whole work was almost done. After some hours of getting my hands dirty with paint and finishing that part of the work, I was met with two big slices of pizza to finish my day.
There are other things going around that have been keeping myself happy, but those I'll tell later.
This simple pizza had the nice addition of salami (pepperoni for some) to add that bit of savory spice that goes so well into the pies. The sauce was actually past sauce. There are usually some leftovers of Bolognese in the fridge from time to time and before it goes to waste, it is baked into a pizza. It might sound weird since traditional Italian pizza usually has just tomato, olive oil and salt as the basic sauce. But trying a ragú to give more flavors to a pizza is an interesting experiment.
Also, using these premade doughs saves a lot of time. Mom started making these early since she had a hunch there was a power cut coming around. Too bad she was right about it, but we already had pizza to eat by candle light.

The pizza looks delious. I use to make pizza all the time. Now I've gotten lazy and buy it when the crave comes 😃
Cravings are responsible for the best types of food!
In the end, the candle gave the romantic touch, although in the conditions there, it is rather annoying. Luckily, you guys ate well anyway.
Some amount of luck. But power cuts are getting more and more annoying.
