Last year, during the Christmas time, I got an invitation to @octocel's grandfather house. I had been there before to get books and even one time for a gathering back during the era of the previous blockchain. But this one was special, I was going as the boyfriend to meet the rest of the family and also to have soup.
Before going, there was the instruction of eating lunch since food in that place isn't usually ready until the middle of the afternoon, around 3-4 pm. So, since the morning had gone by tagging along my mother to get some missing pieces of the Christmas dinner, we had lunch outside. And she actually got us some burgers and fries.
The burgers are what you would call a fast meal. They are not big and fancy. But they make up with being cheap. The whole meal was ok. It's always better to have some food in good company. And I believe that going back home to cook after running errands is an overkill. Imagine that, you have to get home, put things in order, get washed, get to prepare the food, then cook. Finally, you sit down and eat. It is a lot of work taking into consideration you have already done a lot of walking and moving around.
Once it got to around 2pm, I finally went in my way for the second lunch and on the way, I helped @octocel with an errands. Besides, she actually had to come around and help me find the place because I had not gone there since 2018. What can I say about the soup? It was delicious and also a lot. Second lunches are not usually in my menu, but if they are all like these, bring them on!
The resto of the afternoon/evening was spent into listening to stories, playing scrabble and watching my lovely girlfriend work her art.
