Last Saturday started with nice weather, but it took a turn for the worse by nightfall. The change was unexpected and quite a surprise—by the time I arrived in the Maxwell area, the clouds were already pouring rain over the city. I had already traveled too far to turn back, so I decided to go ahead and capture as many photos and videos as I could. After that, I treated myself at the Maxwell Food Centre, one of the most popular food spots in the city. People flock here every day, thanks to its prime location surrounded by office buildings, apartments, and tourist attractions. The food stalls are always busy, no matter the hour.
And that’s why a late-night dining experience at Maxwell is never a bad idea—LOL.
I arrived at the food center around 8:00 PM, and the inner dining area was still packed with diners. The only available tables were the ones outside the building. Since it was quite chilly that night, I decided to go for something with warm soup—it’s the perfect kind of food for rainy nights like this.
So, I walked around the food center, checking out each stall, and noticed a new one I hadn’t seen during my previous visits. They specialize in seafood! And since seafood is always at the top of my list, I didn’t hesitate to order.
There were plenty of good options, and it was a bit confusing to decide which one to try first. I ended up going with the Miso Salmon Fish Head!
I enjoy eating fish head soup. I think it’s delicious, and there something is rewarding and satisfying about the challenge of picking the meat from the many bones. It’s not boring compared to a fillet or the body of the fish, because the head offers a variety of textures—from lean meat to the fattiest parts, and everything in between.
Of course, just like with any other fish head dish, the best part has to be the cheek! Since it was only half a head, I only got one cheek to munch on—so I savored every bite. It was so good and totally worth the price!
I also loved that they added plenty of fresh seaweed. Eating this dish felt healthy, not just delicious. I can’t wait to come back and try the other dishes!
Maxwell never disappoints when it comes to late-night comfort food, and this new seafood stall is a gem worth checking out. The Miso Salmon Fish Head was a flavorful and satisfying choice that hit the spot on a chilly, rainy night. I’ll be back soon to explore more of what they have to offer!

I'm not a fan of fish's head, I usually avoid to eat that part, to be honest, but I'm glad you enjoyed your dinner. That's the important thing when going out to eat, to enjoy the food.
It's one of the popular food here 😁 and yeah I enjoyed this meal. Thanks
