SATISFYING YOUR CRAVINGS :)

Hello everyone…!!

Hope you having a great & relaxing Sunday! I know sometimes some of us have the feeling like we are looking for something to eat and it feels like the day won’t be complete if we can’t satisfy our taste buds LOL! (Laughing out Loud) sometimes here in the Philippines they be joking and say things like “are you pregnant? “Whenever you’ve that hunger cravings. Not sure if it’s a trend, but they’re always quick to jest about that! Haha. Well, I’m not actually. But I sure do crave for something right now! 😆

So here we go. Since it was a long day, not to mention that it’s Fiesta Day here in our town. I told my partner that I want to eat something grilled for dinner... But it’s already late when we got home from my grandmother’s house, and he doesn’t want to go outside anymore because of the traffic! Because you know, here in the Philippines Whenever and wherever there is Fiesta, it sure will be a lively and busy day… So, when I opened the fridge, and saw a big slab of pork ribs! Sheeeshh…my cravings went full throttle… so you all know where this is going. I ran to him and said … how about this one? I nagged at him till he almost got annoyed until he eventually decided to cook me my grilled pork! Haha.😆😅

Well, he didn’t bother complaining anymore (IN THE MIDDLE OF A GAME) and went on to prepare the marinate immediately while defrosting the meat in the microwave oven.

As for the marinate, I watch him make it. He just used simple ingredients.

Like soy sauce, oyster sauce, calamansi, minced garlic and onion, black pepper(powdered), a bit of Ajinomoto seasoning and citrus soda.

He simply mixed those altogether and up to taste. When all when the meat was ready, he then poked holes on the meat with a fork- said it’s to tenderize the meat and for better absorption while marinating. Then after massaging the meat in the mixture for a bit, he then put it back in the fridge, not sur what’s that for but he said it’s going to help hasten the marinating. I just believed it anyway..LOL 😅😅

We left it in the fridge for around 20 minutes as he prepared the grill and set the charcoals. Then when all was set, he got on to it… While he was grilling it, and I could already smell the aroma.

I couldn’t help but pester him more to make it quicker 😁😅🤤🤤. After waiting for a few more minutes, the first batch was done and what would you expect? LOL of course.. I tried to pinch out a piece even while it’s still sizzling and had a bite. And ohh you better believe it; it tasted like heaven for me. considering it was made in a rush and a few moments of nagging.😆😆

As soon as he finished grilling all the pieces, he then prepared a simple sauce for it.

Soy sauce with calamansi, onions, and pepper. which is "Filipino sawsawan"😊🤤

So, we had dinner, also having milk tea as a beverage to refresh the greasy feel in my mouth. And yeah, really satisfied as in “cravings eliminated. :D
