🎅Christmas cake/ Pastel navideño🎄 (Eng/ Esp)
Welcome to my blog dear Hive family 🙋, today I want to participate in the Christmas flavors challenge contest, first time I share in this community and what better than in this contest.
This recipe has been made in my family for years during the Christmas season for as long as I can remember, it is a family recipe. We can't miss it on the 24th and 31st
⭐Ingredients:
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 4 whole eggs
- grated nutmeg
1/2 cup of raisins hydrated in liquor - 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 sticks of butter
- grated lemon zest
- 1 cup of walnuts and almonds
- 1 cup of walnuts and almonds
- 1/2 spoon of cinnamon powder
- 3 tablespoon of wine
Start by cutting the walnuts and almonds into small pieces.
In a bold place the butter and beat until creamy.
After the butter is creamed, add the brown sugar little by little so that it integrates.
and then gradually add the eggs, the lemon zest, the walnuts and the raisins. One by one until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
Grate the nutmeg.
Finally add the powdered ingredients, flour, cinnamon powder, pinch of salt, grated nutmeg and mix until you have a homogeneous dough. If you feel it is a little thick you can add a little more wine to the mixture.
Preheat the oven to 325°. Grease the cake pan and sprinkle a little flour to prevent the mixture from sticking to the pan when pouring.
Place the mixture in the mold and hit it a little with the table so that the air bubbles come out a little.
Put it in the oven for about 45- 50 min (depending on your oven) but you can put a wooden stick in the oven and if it comes out dry, it means it is ready.
Once ready, take it out of the oven, wait 10 minutes for it to cool a little and start decorating. I decorated the cake with powdered sugar, cherries and nuts.
