When our midterm exam was over last week, I couldn't wait to return home because our school announced that we won't have classes from October 31 to November 5. So after our first period, I decided to just travel early so that I could take a rest and attend an assembly. I went to the potato corner store and bought a megafry with two flavors in it, which are BBQ and sour cream. I also went to the 7-11 to buy some water and cookies. I then took a Jeep to the bus terminal, where I was fortunate to find that there were still seats available and that everything was operational. While on the bus, I began to devour the fries. The potato has a soft texture on the inside and a crispy texture on the surface, which is why I adore the way it was prepared.
Next, we have the halo-halo and asado, which I bought from Chowking. On Monday, my aunt and I went to town to pick up some stuff, and we were startled to see a tarpaulin of mix-and-match Chowking. You could get two dishes of any of the foods shown on the menu for only 99 pesos. So, we went inside the food court of Chowking and ordered asado and halo-halo, which we picked from the mix-and-match menu. They prepared the food fast. The halo-halo is pretty much perfect for the hot weather, and I enjoyed eating it. There is milk in it, and it has ube ice cream on top with leche flan. It has gulaman, sago, and pinipig. I also love their siopao asado. At first I was confused because they didn't give us a small sauce, but when I took a bite of the soup, it was very delicious and meaty too.
Lastly, we have our chicken inasal from Mang Inasal. My mother always makes a suggestion on where I should eat, and she would always recommend Mang Inasal. She'll be like, "Their chicken insal is so delicious and juicy, you should try it gela." So last week I was so lazy that I wouldn't get up and cook some food for dinner. One of my friends asked me if I would like to order some chicken inasal so that we can share the delivery fee, and since I haven't eaten yet, I decided to order one. We waited for more than 20 minutes, and when it arrived, I hurriedly went down from my bed, and we ate together. The chicken is so juicy, and it tastes so good with calamansi and soy sauce. We even put some chicken oil in our rice.
Food always makes my day better. I always spoil myself with foods, but sometimes I do eat vegetables and fruits for a balanced and healthy diet.
