Enjoy the mackerel.
Hello everyone. ❤️
Can you believe it? One of my favorite dishes is Pla too (mackerel) 🐟. In Thailand, mackerel is prepared in various ways, each with its unique cooking style 🍳. Yesterday, I had the chance to visit a market near my office 🏢, and something caught my eye that I just couldn’t resist—salted mackerel and steamed mackerel 😋. It’s been such a long time since I last enjoyed mackerel like this, so I decided to buy some to make it for my dinner ✨.
What I love most about the mackerel here is that it’s affordable, fresh, and incredibly delicious 🐟✨. I decided to buy one salted mackerel and two steamed mackerels to cook for my dinner. Just thinking about it makes me hungry! 😋🍴
I think cooking mackerel dishes is really easy because most shops steam the mackerel for you 🐟✨. Salted mackerel has a slightly salty taste, while steamed mackerel has a salty and oily flavor. If you prefer a stronger salty taste, salted mackerel would be perfect for you, but if you enjoy a richer, oilier taste, I recommend steamed mackerel 😋.
After waiting for the rice to cook, let’s start by frying the mackerel. At the same time, I’ll chop the chili, shallots, and lime into small pieces to enhance the flavor and create the perfect taste 🍋.
Once the mackerel is fried and cooked, I’ll sprinkle sliced shallots and chopped chilies on top of the fish, then squeeze some lime over it to add fragrance and enhance the flavor ✨.
- The mackerel dish is all ready and served with hot steamed rice, and it’s absolutely delicious! The flavor of my salted mackerel is spicy, sour, salty, and rich. When paired with shallots, it adds even more flavor that’s hard to describe. You all have to try making this, it's a dish that’s both easy to prepare and really tasty!
Thank you for always following and supporting me. ❤️
