Recipe - Buñuelo.

Friends of Hive Food, today I am very excited to share a recipe for the first time here on PeakD, I find it very impressive as being a cook since forever, I have never shared one of my recipes with you, one of the reasons why I don't What I have done is that I have not had someone who faithfully accompanies me and shares good photos, this being the reason for my limitation on sharing here, but on the other hand, I have received a visit from my children who helped me get these photographs in the time to make this wonderful recipe, which by tradition, we Venezuelans cook at Holy Week.

Amigos de Hive Food, hoy en día estoy emocionada grandemente de compartir por primera vez una receta aquí en PeakD, me parece muy impresionante como siendo cocinera desde siempre, jamás he compartido con ustedes una de mis recetas, uno de los motivos por lo que no lo he hecho es que no he tenido alguien que me acompañe fielmente y comparta unas buenas fotos, siendo este el motivo de mi limitación a compartir aquí, pero por otro lado, he recibido la visita de mis hijos que me ayudaron a conseguir estas fotografías en el momento de hacer esta maravillosa receta, que por tradición, la cocinamos los venezolanos en Semana Santa.

INGREDIENTS

1 Kg of Yuca.
1 egg.
2 butter spoons.
½ Wheat Flour.
1 Cup of grated Llanero Cheese.
½ Rate of Water.
Cinnamon and Cloves, to taste.
½ kl of Sugar.

1 Kg de Yuca.
1 Huevo.
2 Cucharadas de Mantequilla.
½ Harina de Trigo.
1 Taza de Queso Llanero rallado.
½ Tasa de Agua.
Canela y Clavos de Olor, al gusto.
½ kl de Azucar.

PREPARATION OF THE DOUGH

I would like to recommend, mainly, to select very carefully the cassava that we are going to use for this recipe, since it must be strips for this recipe, since they are completely soft, we must proceed with crushing, grating or grinding them, for my part, I have ground them with a meat grinding machine, since it leaves the dough with the texture I need. As you can see, my dough was easy to handle when kneading.

Quisiera recomendar, principalmente, seleccionar muy bien la yuca que vamos a utilizar para esta receta, ya que debe ser banditas para esta receta, ya que estén totalmente blandas, debemos proceder con triturarlas, rayarlas o molerlas, por mi parte, las he molido con una máquina de moler carnes, ya que deja la masa con la textura que necesito. Como pueden notar, mi masa quedó fácil de manejar al momento de amasar.

At this point, I advise you to cook the sweet with which the fritters are bathed, obviously adding the water, sugar, cloves and/or cinnamon, place the stove on medium heat and you should wait for this sweet to have texture. similar to honey to extinguish it, they should not let it dry out too much.

Ya en este punto, les aconsejo que coloquen a cocinar el dulce con el que se bañaran los buñuelos, colocando obviamente el agua, la azúcar, los clavos y/o canelas, coloca la cocina en fuego medio y deben esperar que este dulce tenga textura parecida a la miel para que lo apaguen, no deben dejar que se seque demasiado.

We return to the dough, here we will add the rest of the ingredients that are on the list (Egg, Butter, Wheat flour, Cheese). We will knead everything until we have everything well integrated.

The fact of adding wheat flour is additional, since there are people who do not add it for health reasons. For my part, I use it because it can be a disaster when frying, since if it falls apart it can damage the oil you are using.

Volvemos a la masa, aquí agregaremos el resto de los ingredientes que está en la lista (Huevo, Mantequilla, Harina de trigo, Queso). Amasaremos todo hasta que tengamos todo bien integrados.

El hecho de agregar harina de trigo es adicional, ya que hay personas que por cuestiones de salud no la agregan. Yo por mi parte, la utilizo porque puede llegar a ser un desastre al momento de freír, ya que si se desarma puede dañar el aceite que estas usando.

Once we have the dough ready, we must decide what shape we will give it since there are 3, arepitas, balls or buns. I made them in the shape of arepitas, because it is my favorite way to make this recipe. They must have a tray, any surface or container to place them while you heat the oil.

Ya que tengamos la masa lista, debemos decidir cuál será la forma que le daremos ya que hay 3, arepitas, bolitas o bollitos. Yo las hice con forma de arepitas, porque es mi forma favorita para realizar esta receta. Deben tener una bandeja, cualquier superficie o envase para colocarlas mientras colocas a calentar el aceite.

Remember not to forget the sweet, once it has the desired texture, we must let it cool to room temperature while we finish the fritters.

Recuerden no olvidar el dulce, ya que tenga la textura deseada, debemos dejarla enfriar a temperatura ambiente mientras terminamos los buñuelos.

After heating the oil sufficiently in our pan, we begin to add the fritters to fry, paying close attention to them, remember to measure the temperature especially when it is frying very quickly.

Luego de calentar lo suficiente el aceite en nuestra sartén, empezamos a echar los buñuelos a freír, estando bien atentos de estos, recuerden medir la temperatura en especial cuando esta esté friendo muy rápido.

When all the fritters have been fried, we must get a container in which to place them all, to coat them with the caramel. You must remove all the cloves and cinnamon, I chose to strain it while adding it to the fritters, you must let the caramel be in contact with the fritters for at least 30 minutes (I assure you that the wait will be worth it). At this point we are finished, you just have to serve and enjoy this delicacy.

Cuando ya se haya freído todos los buñuelos, debemos conseguir un envase en donde colocarlos todos, para bañarlos con el caramelo. Deben retirar todos los clavos de olor y la canela, yo opté por colarlo mientras se lo agregaba a los buñuelos, deben dejar que el caramelo esté en contacto con los buñuelos durante al menos 30 minutos (Les aseguro que la espera valdrá la pena). Ya en este punto hemos terminado, solo deben servir y disfrutar de esta delicia.
