Hello everyone, today I would like to introduce you to Oriol Balaguer Bakery in Barcelona, Spain. This bakery has won the award for the best panettone in Spain in 2017, the best croissant in Spain in 2014 and many other awards. The owner of the bakery, Oriol Balaguer, started with his passion for baking since he was a child.
He remembers watching his father working in the bakery while he played with Plasticine to imitate the shape of his cakes and pastries, which is a memory he has treasured since he was a child. He then studied at the Barcelona School of Pastry Making Guild and worked in one of the best bakeries in Belgium and Spain for seven years, in the Feuerranadlia team, until Adrai defined him as one of the most well-rounded professionals in the culinary field. He was awarded the Best Artisan Pastry Cher award. In Spain, when he was only 21 years old.
Oriol Balaguer is inspired by architecture and the culture of design, so he creates desserts using meticulous techniques and good, balanced flavors. He is the creator of new desserts, and in just a few years he has created great works with excellent recipes, combining innovation with quality to meet the needs of his customers. Now, in addition to Barcelona, there are also shops in Madrid.
I went to Oriol Balaguer after being recommended by a friend who said that this is a delicious bakery. At first, I was just surprised that the taste was normal. When I arrived at the shop, I stood looking at the desserts. There were many desserts in the shop. At first, I didn't pay much attention. Until I stood for a while to queue up, an old woman customer turned to look at me and gave a thumbs up to the bakery and nodded to signal that they were delicious. I smiled in surprise.
Then it was my turn to choose. I chose croissants, butter egg tarts, and chocolate-covered churros. I bought quite a lot because I brought them for my friends and planned to buy them to eat while staying at my friend's house for two days. The staff then put the desserts in boxes and paper bags. Actually, the shop had a lot to choose from. We intended to come back to buy some as souvenirs for my parents after our trip to Spain. I was very happy and wanted to try them. After that, we got desserts from Oriol Balaguer. We drove for about an hour.
When we arrived at our accommodation, we opened the desserts to try. At first, I wanted to save them for tomorrow for myself. But in fact, when I saw my friends eating them, they looked delicious and I tried them. It turned out that I couldn't stop. Oh, it was very delicious. It was worthy of the award they got. We ate it all in the first meal Lol didn't even save it for the next meal or the next day.
This is a bakery that I intended to go back to in Barcelona to buy dessert again, but the truth is that after the trip to my friend's house we booked a hotel quite far from the Oriol Balaguer shop so we didn't go back to buy it again.
