Hello everyone, today I would like to share with you one of my family's favourite recipes, easy, tasty and economical. It was a recipe prepared especially for birthdays by my grandmother, but my mother also used to prepare them, but unlike her, she used to add sultanas.
Este preparado tan delicioso se llama empanadas. Algunas personas a su relleno le suelen poner papas cortadas en cuadrados chicos, de todas formas salen riquisimas las tapas se puede comprar, por lo general yo las preparo ya que es fácil y mucho más barato.
This delicious preparation is called empanadas. Some people usually add potatoes cut in small squares to the filling, but the tapas are delicious. You can buy the tapas, but I usually prepare them myself because it is easy and much cheaper.
La masa lleva aproximadamente medio paquete de harina, una taza de agua tibia con sal y aceite de girasol o grasa vacuna. Ponemos en un bowl la harina, hacemos un hoyo y en el centro le colocamos el aceite o la grasa, y el agua. Empujamos la harina para que se mezcle con el agua y el aceite, lo sacamos y comenzamos a amasar. Dejamos descansar la masa mientras preparamos el picadillo.
The dough takes about half a packet of flour, a cup of warm salted water and sunflower oil or beef fat. Put the flour in a bowl, make a hole and place the oil or fat and water in the centre. We push the flour so that it mixes with the water and the oil, we take it out and start to knead. Leave the dough to rest while we prepare the picadillo.
Ingredientes:
- Picadillo.
- carne picada 1/2 kilo
- 1/2 de cebolla y 1/4 de cebolla de verdeo y 3 huevos duros
- Condimentos:
- oregano, aji molido, comino y pimenton, y aceitunas verdes
Ingredients:

Preparación: Lavar y cortar las cebollas en cuadrados chicos, reservar lo verde de las de verdeo, dejar cocinar hasta que estén transparentes e incorporar la carne cuando este a media cocción, agregar la parte verde de la cebolla de verdeo y los condimentos juntos con las aceitunas y mezclar hasta terminar la cocción.
Preparation: Wash and cut the onions into small squares, reserve the green part of the green onions, cook until transparent and add the meat when it is half cooked, add the green part of the green onion and the seasoning together with the olives and mix until cooking is finished.
Armar las empanadas con una cucharada sopera de picadillo y un trocito o dos de huevo duro, sellar los bordes pasando un poco de agua y hacer el repulgue. Si no lo saben hacer marcar con la punta de un tenedor. Fritar con abundante aceite o grasa hasta que esten bien doradas. Si se hacen al horno colocar en una asadera previamente enmantecada y pintarlas con huevo.
Assemble the empanadas with a tablespoon of picadillo and a small piece or two of hard-boiled egg, seal the edges with a little water and make the folds. If you don't know how to do it, mark with the tip of a fork. Fry in plenty of oil or fat until golden brown. If they are baked in the oven, place them in a greased baking dish and brush them with egg.
Es una preparación muy fácil de hacer, sabrosas sobre todo si salen jugosas. Mi abuela siempre decia que para que salgan jugosas siempre debe llevar casi el doble de cebolla en proporción a la carne, nunca falla. Es un plato tradicional de la comida argentina, muy elegido por grandes y chicos que se suele disfrutar en familia.
It is a very easy preparation to make, tasty, especially if they turn out juicy. My grandmother always said that for them to be juicy they should always have almost double the amount of onion in proportion to the meat, it never fails.
