Let's call it #sateleurday ?

It arrived the other day in a beautiful cardboard box that not even covid could delay. My new (to me) Fender USA telecaster, olympic white, maple neck, brass saddles. So while it is technically straturday I'm going with my new baby. Can we call it #sateleurday ?

It's so nice to play. The neck is a C shape so the same as my strat which is what I was after. I'd tried some of the older "baseball bat" necks and I just didn't like the feel.

I've recently become a Patron of YouTuber Jack Ruch. He has some really good lessons mainly on playng through changes which is something I've been working on for way too long. It was the lesson for this solo he created a lesson for that made me sign up with him. It's hard for me to pass up on a good jazz blues solo and this is certainly one of those.

It took me a while to get it up to speed and hopefully I'm not too sick of it that I can try and pull it apart and maybe add some of the ideas to an improvisation one day maybe maybe...

Hope you're all good! Enjoy the solo and I'll try and enjoy the last 2 days of my Christmas break from work.

It's been a while since I watched your videos. I definitely enjoyed what I heard and I wished it was longer.

You're forgiven for not watching for a while 😁

I appreciate the view/vote/comments!

I love the way the guitar was played..

Thanks @seryito ! 🤘

Sweet Tele! I hope it's everything you wanted.

I'd like to be able to play over changes. I guess I need to do a course or something to learn how.

So far so good. I'm going to take it to a guitar shop for a once over, but not sure if I really want to know. It seems to be great.

Playing over changes is a massive change. I can't really do it. I've been working on triads as opposed to scales and full arpeggios. It seems a bit easier to work with small shapes that I know from open chords and the caged system. My issue is thinking through the whole song, knowing what it's up to rather than running through a scale.

I was going to do some improv videos over jazz standards as a way of practicing.

That was awesome David!

Maybe should i Jack Ruch's channel to learn some of his lessons😉 cheers bro 🍻 \m/

Nice jazz tone, what gear are you using?
