Eldest daughter (14) has been getting on brilliantly with her music. She now regularly plays guitar, drums, piano and saxophone. She is taking guitar lessons now, I think does piano lessons at school and is in the orchestra. She seems to be a bit of a natural.
I was trawling the store of a well known music shop here in the UK called Andertons and stumbled across a "thing". That's always dangerous.
Anyway, a few days later it arrived.
She doesn't have expensive guitars, but the guitars she has are nice and tidy. I keep worrying about her taking them to school as she'll be so disappointed at the smallest scuff. She's a bit like that.
I stumbled across this in the B Stock section due to a tiny pant chip. If you look you can just about work it out on the left side of the guitar aligned with the double pickup.
It's made by East Cost, a brand that Andertons and I think Guitar Guitar now own so they can combine their purchasing power on the "home brand" front. 14's first guitar was the same make.
It played well straight from the box, the intonation and play height are spot on, and sounds fantastic. I think they're £109 new and I got this for under £80 due to the damage. Damage that means 14 can safely take it to school without worrying about additional scuffs and dings.
I'm absolutely amazed how good some of these budget brands are now becoming.
