Jamming on a little Floyd

in Guitar5 years ago

I found a Youtube lesson at the weekend about jamming over the outro solo on Comfortably Numb and wanted to give it a go. The chord sequence is Bm A G G/F Em Bm and so you can noodle around Bm. You can just use the pentatonic or add in other notes of the scale. Of course there have to be some bends.

I am playing my Benford custom tele through a Tube Screamer and Zoom G3X (Marshall Bluesbreaker amp model) with Boss RC-1 looping the rhythm. There are a few nice bits in there, but I am conscious that I tend to end on the same notes. I just wanted to try a few things. Managed some pinch harmonics.

Audio is not great, but just had a microphone near the speaker. I may have to try recording from the Zoom USB next time.

This is the lesson I looked at.

May need to watch it again to pick up more details. This guy is a good teacher.

Great sounds here my friend!
Blessings!

I love his guitar work (yours too!) :)

Hey Steve have you ever checked out the project called exhaust?
One of my followers mentioned it in a comment.

It's for running and other activities and is built on the Hive chain. It could be good for your running posts. Let me know what you think

I've been using @exhaust to log my activities for a while. It syncs with the Strava app automatically.

Awesome Steve. WIll try to record some too soon :) !!

Sounding great Steve! A lesson I shall have to watch through in the not too distant future.

Cheers. I really just need to play more and see what works. May need to tweak my setup a bit for better recordings. Having it recorded means you can see how you prpgree.

you must be good on string
