Hello! I am going to share with you the construction, or rather let's call it assembly of my Vander RH-1 custom model guitar.
Hola!
Let's start from the beginning... The neck is a Jackson belonging to a brand new Japanese Jackson RRX that came to me with the headstock broken in 2. This neck was lying around for about 12 years without use, even my daughter who was 5 years old at the time I used to play the guitar with him. One day I decided to build a custom guitar and sent the neck to be repaired by a luthier.
The body is ash, made by Allen Edden in the USA. The color was not what I wanted so I decided to customize, sanding the original color first, same job on neck.
The color I chose was pearl white, with two racing silver effect stripes on the lower part of the body. To achieve that effect I painted that area in black and covered the part where the stripes would be with tape, then painted the whole body in pearl white.
Once it dried I sanded the entire body again and repainted white to cover the stripes and achieve the silver effect. After about 10 days drying, I went back to sanding and polishing with wax to remove pores and imperfections... The body is ready to receive the hardware.
I put on it a completely solderless EMG James Hetfield signature set (pickups, pots, and jack), the tremolo is a thick block Fender Stratocaster STD, the pickguard was covered with satin black vinyl paper.
For the nut cover, I cut a piece of old pickguard that I had, and molded it to the desired shape, with a dremel I made my personal stamp. For the brand on the headstock, I asked to manufacture my name made in plexiglass, tuners are sealed PW.
And the end result is a custom guitar ash body, 22 jumbo frets, Jackson maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, EMG JH pickups, Dunlop straplock, fender 5P selector, Fender Tremolo, mini toggle kill switch, that plays and feels like a $5,000 guitar and best of all... unique on planet earth.
