He also slams the US and the political regime there: The USA is not ruled by principles, rather by the interests of its corporations. In Syria, we've experienced US presidents since the restoration of relations in 1974 during Nixon times, the US presidents are controlled by the lobbies not by the interests of their countries.
President Assad said there are many thousands more of US troops in Syria than what is declared by US officials, they are in forms of 'private terrorist companies' the likes of Black Waters.
And more.

Brilliant as ever. each word has a meaning and implications. I watch leaders in the west and from our region and can not finish a single interview, their talking way is cheap like uneducated, just look at Trump or Erdogan. Then their words are worth the moment they speak, after 5 minutes it will be reversed or a whole new position is taken.
Watch any of Assad's interviews since the early days until now, very consistent and you can never find him in the same interview repeat the words, as if he's only addressing intelligence brains who need to explain it further down to less smart people. See how when he wants to repeat a phrase he says like what i said in a previous interview... Watch Trump, in the same sentence he repeats the words several times, it loses its meanings, and after half an hour whatever he said is done differently if not the opposite.
