Adding composted arborist woodchips directly into the soil with minimum disturbance to the soil ecology or plant roots. Speeding up the soil building process, providing better drainage and water absorption. The woodchips are precomposted so there is no significant competition for Nitrogen. This method can also be used to add Biochar, Sand or Compost to the soil. I've been using a crowbar to make holes in compacted soil for a number of years allowing the woodchips to settle beneath the surface. It is a very easy no dig way to produce rich organic soil.
