It's the first sensible thing I've heard from the WHO in a long time. I am absolutely furious about this situation. I live in Scotland, and according to our government, "the number of patients who have tested positive who have died" is 1620. That doesn't mean they died from Covid-19, but that it may have been a contributory factor. At the peak of the outbreak, deaths involving Covid-19 made up 36% of all deaths in Scotland. That percentage has now fallen to 31% of all deaths. Yet while the UK is starting to ease the restrictions, our government in Scotland has decided to keep all the healthy people locked up for another three weeks, whether we want "protection" or not! Businesses are closing and there are clear signs of increasing poverty in some areas, with high demand at food banks.
