Dallas Airport - Easy COVID-Free Travels

Today I flew back into the USSA from Mexico, and had one of my easiest experiences with the airports and the many government agencies involved. Obviously in Mexico it was all pretty simple, just show papers, cursory glance at baggage, and hang out for the flight.

Getting to Dallas (the one layover) was where things sort of got interesting. First, customs was a super-breeze, nobody in line, and the only thing out of the ordinary was them asking me to step back a couple of feet.

SIDE NOTE: Through this whole trip, nobody ever asked me to put on a mask, but I was asked many times to remove it.

Less than half the people at DFW were wearing masks (none of the police), and there didn't seem to be any concern with distancing. Hell, the flight from DFW to PDX was completely full, meaning there wasn't a single person on the flight who was "socially distant." One very cool thing was that the TSA seemed to be really laid back. When we opted out (never go through those body scanners), they didn't pat us down like every other time I've flown, they simply waved us through.

Definitely the strangest part of the experience, to me, was the fact that there weren't any COVID-19 signs around, but these signs were all over the place...

Seriously... Bird flu? It seems like this is someone at the airport playing a joke, since the Bird Flu was another one that Neil Ferguson said would kill millions (220M if I remember correctly) and actually killed less than 500 people. He's the same guy whose computer model the entire COVID shutdown is based on...

Tune in tomorrow to see the interview I recorded with my good friend Bruce B, who happened to arrive & depart DFW at the same time I did.

Sound really stress free. With all the precaution in different countries, this is really out of the ordinary. We can get fine for not wearing a mask over here. Nice to see a happy face at the airport.

You're going the wrong way!

They're actually starting to shut down in Mexico. The last week or two businesses have been closing up, many cities started mandating masks (ticket or arrest for not wearing one), etc. Meanwhile, Oregon is opening back up.

Really though, all the decisions on when & where to go for the last two months have been totally based on intuitive muscle-testing :-) Just letting the Universe lead the way.

nice work, need to have more back on this part of the land. Crazy that they spent any amount of currency on to post those signs?!
