¡Holaaaaaa! 👋Varias veces he mencionado lo mucho que me gustan los idiomas, incluso cuando pensé en seleccionar la carrera de la universidad, por un momento dudé en estudiar idiomas. Desde mi punto de vista, aprenderlos no solo será mejor para nuestro entorno laboral, sino para mantener en forma nuestras capacidades neuronales. Actualmente, me encuentro aprendiendo francés , por mi cuenta, y pensé que sería una buena idea contarte un poco sobre este proceso.
¿Sabías que según la Organización Internacional Francófona (OIF) …?
- 321 millones de personas hablan francés en todo el mundo
- 5.º lugar a nivel mundial (luego del inglés, el chino, el hindi y el español)
- 4.º lugar según su prevalencia en Internet (luego del inglés, español y árabe)
- 50 millones de personas aprenden francés.
Investigando sobre el idioma y las regiones donde se hablaba, encontré estas cifras que me impactaron y alimentaron mi deseo de seguir aprendiendo; pues como se puede apreciar, el francés desempeña un rol importante en el mundo actual y en los años posteriores. Mis motivaciones son principalmente poderme comunicar en francés, tener acceso a diversos materiales en la lengua y sobre todo acercarme un poco a su cultura.
Al estudiar en la universidad no dispongo de mucho tiempo para tomar clases con profesores de francés; aunque sé que puede ser superútil desde hace mucho tiempo me acostumbré a aprender por mi cuenta y gestionar mi tiempo (con la Técnica Pomodoro, priorizando tareas y designando bloques de tiempo) de manera que se ajuste a mis necesidades y disponibilidad. Anteriormente en un post comenté ¿cómo aprendí inglés en 6 meses?, siguiendo un método que descubrí en el camino, así que he decidido adaptarlo al francés.
Como menciono en aquel post es importante trabajar las tres áreas del idioma: Pronunciación(en mi opinión, el área más desafiante), Gramática y Vocabulario, así que he buscado materiales para cada uno de ellos:
- Pronunciación: French mornings with Elisa (Canal de Youtube).
- Vocabulario: Vocabulaire essentiel du français (A1-A2) (Canal de Telegram).
- Gramática: Grammaire essenelle du français (A1-A2) (Canal de Telegram).
Quizás sea necesario realizar primero el libro de
Vocabulaire essentiel du français(A1) o revisar en internet algún vocabulario básico para poder comprender los libros… Yo personalmente hice lo segundo.
📙¿Cómo lo hago…? Metodología y recomendaciones…
Establezco un bloque de tiempo para mi estudio, de 7-8 AM, una hora de lunes a sábado.
Realice tarjetas para aprender el vocabulario recomendado en el libro Fluent Forever by Gabriel Wyner, uso Anki, pues, me permite hacerlas en la laptop y exportarlas al móvil.
Instale un diccionario en el móvil que me permite ver la
transcripción fonética además de escuchar la pronunciación.Comienzo viendo videos de pronunciación para familiarizarme con los sonidos del idioma.
En la hora de estudio del día decido si estudiar
pronunciación, vocabulario o gramática. Personalmente, aprendo primero la pronunciación y vocabulario e incorporo la gramática cuando estoy más avanzada en el idioma.Reviso diariamente 20 tarjetas (es importante seleccionar una meta que sea realizable), a las tarjetas iniciales añado el vocabulario que encuentre necesario a lo largo de mi aprendizaje.
Hay muchisimos más recursos, pero siempre es importante tomar una decisión, pues ante la infinidad de recursos muchas veces nos perdemos por no seleccionar uno y ser consistentes con él. Hasta ahora siento que me va bien y avanzo con este😀.

Studying at university, I don't have much time to take classes with French teachers; although I know it can be very useful, I have been accustomed to learning on my own for a long time and managing my time (with the Pomodoro Technique, prioritizing tasks and allocating time blocks) to fit my needs and availability. In a previous post, I mentioned how I learned English in 6 months, following a method I discovered along the way, so I have decided to adapt it to French.
As I mentioned in that post, it is important to work on the three areas of the language: Pronunciation (in my opinion, the most challenging area), Grammar, and Vocabulary, so I have looked for materials for each of them:

📙How do I do it...? Methodology and recommendations...
- I set aside a study block of time, from 7-8 AM, one hour from Monday to Saturday.
- I made flashcards to learn the recommended vocabulary in the book Fluent Forever by Gabriel Wyner, I use Anki, as it allows me to create them on my laptop and export them to my phone.
- I installed a dictionary on my phone that allows me to see phonetic transcription in addition to listening to pronunciation.
- I start by watching pronunciation videos to familiarize myself with the sounds of the language.
- During the study hour of the day, I decide whether to focus on pronunciation, vocabulary, or grammar. Personally, I learn pronunciation and vocabulary first and incorporate grammar when I am more advanced in the language.
- I review 20 flashcards daily (it is important to set a achievable goal), and I add any necessary vocabulary to the initial flashcards as I progress in my learning.
There are many more resources, but it is always important to make a decision, as in the multitude of resources we often get lost by not selecting one and being consistent with it. So far, I feel like I'm doing well and progressing with this😀.

El francés es un idioma bello, yo lo estudié en mi carrera de Lenguas Extranjeras junto al inglés. Tu método me parece maravilloso, sobre todo muy organizado, de seguro cumples tus metas en poco tiempo. Si me permites te quiero recomendar la cantante Louane, sus canciones son muy bonitas y te ayudará también con el francés.

Hay que tener un poco de valor para aprender un idioma 😅 pero una vez activamos la chispa y le ponemos ganas es muy bonito, yo tengo buen nivel de inglés pero estoy aprendiendo de a poquitos el japonés. Buen post, éxitos!!!
