Hola amigos, los saludo con mucha alegría y felicitando a todos los padres de la colmena por el día tan especial de ayer, espero que lo hayan pasado muy bien con sus familias 🥰. Por acá por Corupá la pasamos muy bien, celebramos este día con nuestros amigos de la iglesia y mi papá fue el cocinero 👨🍳.
Hello friends, I greet you with great joy and congratulations to all the fathers of the hive for the special day yesterday, I hope you had a great time with your families 🥰. Here in Corupá we had a great time, we celebrated this day with our friends from the church and my dad was the cook 👨🍳.
Pues sí, en esta ocasión fuimos invitados a la casa del pastor para celebrar junto a otros hermanos el día de los padres. El pastor había hablado con mi papá para que lo ayudara a preparar el almuerzo para este día, pero mi papá no solo aceptó, sino que se ofreció a cocinar todo él, pues quería hacerles a todos una deliciosa comida cubana.
A pesar de que en estos días el tiempo en Corupá había sido muy frío, con llovizna incesante, el domingo amaneció mucho mejor, pudimos disfrutar de un día bastante soleado y sin tanto frío.
Yes, this time we were invited to the pastor's house to celebrate Father's Day with other brothers and sisters. The pastor had talked to my dad to help him prepare lunch for this day, but my dad not only accepted, but he offered to cook everything himself, because he wanted to make everyone a delicious Cuban meal.
Although the weather in Corupá had been very cold these days, with incessant drizzle, Sunday dawned much better, we were able to enjoy a very sunny day without so much cold.
Para el almuerzo quisimos prepararle a nuestros amigos brasileños una típica comida criolla, arroz congris, carne de puerco, ensalada mixta, chicharritas (frita de plátano) y fritas de papa. Mi papá se puso manos a la obra desde temprano y yo estuve ahí ayudándolo.
For lunch we wanted to prepare our Brazilian friends a typical Creole meal, arroz congris, pork, mixed salad, chicharritas (fried plantain chips) and potato chips. My dad got to work early in the morning and I was there helping him.

Cuando llegaron todos los invitados todos se pusieron a conversar y los padres recibieron sus regalos. Me gusta mucho estos encuentros, ya que es la conversación diaria lo que nos ha ayudado bastante a ir aprendiendo el idioma portugués, siempre es bueno tener oportunidades para poder practicarlo, y nuestros amigos de la iglesia nos ayudan mucho.
When all the guests arrived, everyone started talking and the parents received their gifts. I like these meetings very much, because it is the daily conversation that has helped us a lot to learn the Portuguese language, it is always good to have opportunities to practice it, and our friends from the church help us a lot.
A la hora del almuerzo nuestros amigos brasileños se quedaron encantados con la comida, pues todo nos quedó bastante delicioso. Sobre todo, les encantó el arroz congris, pues dicen que nunca lo habían probado y les gustó mucho.
At lunchtime, our Brazilian friends were delighted with the food, as everything was quite delicious. They especially loved the rice congris, as they said they had never tried it before and liked it very much.

En fin, fue un día muy agradable y me encantó haber podido compartir con ellos estas recetas cubanas, sobre todo el arroz congris, que me resultó muy sorprendente que no lo conocieran 😅.
Anyway, it was a very nice day and I was delighted to have been able to share with them these Cuban recipes, especially the arroz congris, which I found very surprising that they didn't know it 😅.
