¡Hola Hivers!, ¿qué tal están? Espero que muy bien y que estén disfrutando este último mes del año.
Hace un tiempo ya visité junto a mis mejores amigas y a mi pareja el campismo Jardines de Aspiro, ubicado en el municipio San Cristóbal de nuestra provincia Artemisa, y debo decir que fue una de las mejores experiencias que he tenido a lo largo de mis 18 años.

Hello Hivers, how are you? I hope you are very well and that you are enjoying this last month of the year.
Some time ago I already visited with my best friends and my partner the camping Jardines de Aspiro, located in the municipality of San Cristobal in our province Artemisa, and I must say that it was one of the best experiences I've had throughout my 18 years.
La llegada al lugar fue una locura. Tuvimos que preguntar la ruta un par de veces puesto no la conocíamos con exactitud y el chófer del vehículo que nos llevó tampoco tenía conocimiento de esta. Unas personas que tenían sus viviendas en las cercanías del campismo nos ayudaron y aseguraron que quedaba poco camino por recorrer.
The arrival to the place was crazy. We had to ask the route a couple of times since we did not know it exactly and the driver of the vehicle that took us there did not know it either. Some people who had their homes near the campsite helped us and assured us that there was not much road left to travel.
Nos hospedamos en una cabaña de cuatro personas y en apenas una hora acomodamos todo lo que llevamos y partimos hacia las montañas a explorar.
El primer día fue un caos. La mochila donde llevábamos los teléfonos y la bocina para poner música calló al agua y se empaparon los dispositivos. Perdimos las fotos que tiramos con uno de los teléfonos y nos quedamos sin música por unas horas, ya que teníamos otra bocina en la cabaña.
We stayed in a four-person cabin and in barely an hour we packed up everything we were carrying and set off into the mountains to explore.
The first day was chaos. The backpack where we carried our phones and the speaker to play music fell into the water and the devices got soaked. We lost the photos we took with one of the phones and we were left without music for a few hours, since we had another speaker in the cabin.
El tema de los teléfonos no nos impidió realizar las excursiones propuestas y al segundo día nos arrimamos a la casa de un señor que es espeleólogo y nos llevó a una de las cuevas. ¡Qué dilema!, descubrí que era un poco claustrofóbica cuando estábamos a mitad del recorrido.
Había murciélagos por toda la cueva y la charla sobre la creación de dicho lugar que nos dio el señor fue grandiosa. Jamás pensé que me iba a interesar por las estalactitas mientras me faltaba el aire.
La tarde la pasamos con el señor, que nos preparó un delicioso puré de mapén y nos brindó de los frutos que cosechaba.
The phone issue did not stop us from doing the proposed excursions and on the second day we went to the house of a man who is a speleologist and he took us to one of the caves. What a dilemma, I discovered that it was a bit claustrophobic when we were half way through the tour.
There were bats all over the cave and the talk about the creation of the cave that the man gave us was great. I never thought I would be interested in stalactites while being short of breath.
We spent the afternoon with the gentleman, who prepared us a delicious mapen puree and gave us some of the fruits he harvested.
Conocimos al tercer día unas pocetas increíblemente hermosas, con cascadas y un agua realmente clara. Pero obviamente, para llegar al lugar tuvimos que trepar por piedras de hasta tres metros y meternos entre matojos con espinas. Un rato refrescante que nos dejó raspones, moretones y hasta los dientes astillados.
On the third day we visited some incredibly beautiful pools, with waterfalls and really clear water. But obviously, to get to the place we had to climb stones up to three meters high and get into thorny bushes. A refreshing time that left us with scrapes, bruises and even chipped teeth.
Debo admitir que fue una experiencia magnífica y que me dejó anécdotas inolvidables. Algún día le contaré a mis hijos que fui arrastrada por la corriente de un río, que me bañé en una represa, que pasé una tormenta bajo unas matas de mango y que visité un pueblo en mitad de la nada.
I must admit that it was a magnificent experience that left me with unforgettable anecdotes. Someday I will tell my children that I was swept away by the current of a river, that I bathed in a dam, that I spent a storm under some mango trees and that I visited a village in the middle of nowhere.
Estar rodeada de tanto verde me hizo darme cuenta de que los mejores momentos no son captados con cámaras. Ls experiencias inolvidables te las llevas bien grabadas en la piel sin necesidad de una fotografía para recordarte lo que viviste. Espero, por supuesto, que todos ustedes hayan experimentado ese sentimiento de paz en situaciones como esta.
Being surrounded by so much green made me realize that the best moments are not captured on camera. Unforgettable experiences are engraved on your skin without the need for a photograph to remind you of what you experienced. I hope, of course, that all of you have experienced that feeling of peace in situations like this.
