Greetings to the Hive and Hive Cuba community! Last night, we experienced an exciting gala to celebrate the thirteenth anniversary of our beloved province Artemisa. The event was attended by prominent figures from Cuban culture, including Diana Rosa Suárez and Haila María Mompié.
A las 8:30 de la noche, el cine Juárez, sede de la celebración, estaba abarrotado, con apenas asientos disponibles para aquellos que aún esperaban afuera. Mientras aguardábamos el inicio del evento, se proyectaron varios audiovisuales que destacaban los logros de los habitantes de Artemisa y el notable desarrollo de la provincia.
At 8:30 in the evening, the Juárez cinema, the venue for the celebration, was packed, with barely any available seats for those still waiting outside. While we awaited the start of the event, several audiovisual presentations highlighted the achievements of the inhabitants of Artemisa and the remarkable development of the province.
La gala dio inicio a las nueve de la noche con un dúo lírico que interpretó "Cecilia Valdés", una historia que surgió en tierras artemiseñas y que ocupa un lugar especial en el corazón de todo el pueblo cubano. La velada continuó con la presentación de la compañía de baile Raíces Folklóricas, que deleitó al público con cantos dedicados a Elegguá y Oyá. El grupo Colao inundó el lugar con sus melodías, destacando especialmente el saxofón y el piano.
The gala began at nine in the evening with a lyrical duo performing "Cecilia Valdés," a story that originated in Artemisa and holds a special place in the hearts of all Cuban people. The evening continued with a performance by the folk dance company Raíces Folklóricas, which delighted the audience with songs dedicated to Elegguá and Oyá. The group Colao filled the venue with their melodies, particularly highlighting the saxophone and piano.
Bailes, cantos, versos y poemas engalanaron la noche dedicada a nuestra amada Artemisa, una tierra roja que ha sido escenario de las más arduas batallas por la libertad de nuestra nación. Fue un orgullo compartir este aniversario con mi hermosa gente artemiseña.
Dances, songs, verses, and poems adorned the night dedicated to our beloved Artemisa, a red land that has been the scene of the most arduous battles for the freedom of our nation. It was a pride to share this anniversary with my beautiful Artemisa people.
