Estas vacaciones han sido un poco aburridas… bueno, no para mí, yo siempre estoy haciendo algo pero mi niña se aburre mucho. Y con el aburrimiento vienen más cosas, un poco de ansiedad, siempre tiene hambre 🤷🏻. Tenerla en casa desde junio ha sido todo un desafío. No todos los días la tengo en la casa las 24 horas, eso sería una tarea imposible, pero, aunque hemos salido de paseo y a veces ella me acompaña en algunos recados, sigue sintiéndose desanimada en la casa la mayoría de las veces.
Por eso me alegré cuando empezaron a reparar y pintar un pequeño parque de atracciones que hay cerca de nuestra casa. Este lugar me trae bonitos recuerdos porque era donde iba yo a jugar de niña. Es el único parque con aparatos que hay por donde vivo, y estaba bastante deteriorado, sobre todo los columpios que estaban casi todos rotos y el lugar estaba casi siempre vacío y sin niños. Ahora si tiene cara de parque, le podaron la yerba y arreglaron los columpios y los demás aparatos (no es que tenga tantos), y pintaron en su pared de fondo un bonito y colorido mural. Lo que más me alegró de todo es que al fin iba a tener un entretenimiento para mi niña, un sitio en el que gastara esa desbordante energía que tiene siempre, niña al fin.
Pero la apertura demoró un poco, casi dos meses, entre el tiempo que tardaron en pintarlo y después abrirlo. María Claudia, cada vez que pasábamos frente a él, me preguntaba cuándo lo iban a abrir, algo que yo no tenía ni idea… 🎡 Hasta que hace tres días nos avisaron de que ya estaba abierto, ¡Al fin! Para allá nos fuimos enseguida, no le di tiempo ni a decirme esa mañana que estaba aburrida, y en realidad no lo estuvo. El parque estaba lleno de niños, casi todos de su misma edad, y mi niña pasó un rato muy agradable, dio vueltas en el tiovivo (creo que así se llama el que da vueltas), corrió, saltó y la pasó genial. Traté de enseñarle a columpiarse sola, pero no le cogía el ritmo de echar los pies hacia adelante y hacia atrás 😆🤦🏻
Yo, aunque la vigilaba desde uno de los bancos y le tomaba algunas fotos, me relajé sentada a la sombra y con un poco de tiempo libre para mí, y por supuesto también disfruté del parque, sobre todo me gustó mucho el mural que dibujaron al final con los símbolos patrios y otros reconocidos personajes.
María Claudia jugó hasta que se cansó, aunque me decía en que no quería irse, su cara de agotamiento decía lo contrario. La dejé disfrutar y jugar todo el tiempo que quiso, porque me gusta verla feliz.
Este fue un día sin un solo momento de aburrimiento, ¡todo un logro! Así que mañana tenemos planeada otra visita al parque. Los niños son sencillos ellos no necesitan grandes cosas para ser felices, y yo adoro cuando ella se divierte.

These holidays have been a bit boring... well, not for me, I'm always doing something but my little girl gets bored a lot. And with boredom comes more things, a bit of anxiety, she's always hungry 🤷🏻. Having her at home since June has been a challenge. Not every day I have her in the house 24 hours a day, that would be an impossible task, but, although we have gone for walks and sometimes she accompanies me on errands, she still feels discouraged in the house most of the time.
That's why I was happy when they started repairing and painting a small amusement park near our house. This place brings back fond memories because it was where I used to go to play as a child. It is the only park with equipment around where I live, and it was quite deteriorated, especially the swings which were almost all broken and the place was almost always empty and without children. Now it has the face of a park, the grass has been pruned and the swings and other equipment have been fixed (not that it has that many), and a beautiful and colourful mural has been painted on the back wall. What made me most happy of all was that at last I was going to have a place for my little girl to play, a place where she could spend her overflowing energy, a child at last.
But the opening took a while, almost two months, between the time it took to paint it and then open it. María Claudia, every time we passed in front of it, asked me when they were going to open it, something I had no idea... 🎡 Until three days ago they told us that it was already open, at last! We went there right away, I didn't even give her time to tell me that morning that she was bored, and in fact she wasn't. The park was full of children, almost all of them the same age, and my little girl had a very nice time. I tried to teach her to swing on her own, but she couldn't get the rhythm of swinging her feet back and frontwards 😆🤦🏻.
Although I kept an eye on her from one of the benches and took some photos, I relaxed sitting in the shade with a bit of free time to myself, and of course I also enjoyed the park, I especially liked the mural they drew at the end with the patriotic symbols and other well-known characters.
Maria Claudia played until she got tired, although she told me that she didn't want to leave, her exhausted face said the opposite. I let her enjoy and play as long as she wanted, because I like to see her happy.
This was a day without a single moment of boredom, quite an achievement! So tomorrow we have planned another visit to the park. Kids are simple, they don't need big things to be happy, and I love it when she has fun.
