Este año la biblioteca municipal de Bauta y su sucursal están trabajando arduamente para promover la vigésimo sexta edición del concurso “Leer a Martí". A pesar de tener un equipo reducido, el entusiasmo por la literatura y el compromiso por la educación nos impulsan a seguir adelante en esta increíble iniciativa que atrae cada año a estudiantes de todas las edades, desde la primaria hasta la universidad.
Este acontecimiento recibe respaldo de entidades como el Ministerio de Cultura, la Biblioteca Nacional y otras instituciones importantes de Cuba; representa una magnífica oportunidad para que los jóvenes se adentren en la lectura y en la obra de uno de los destacados escritores cubanos.
En este evento especial los participantes tienen la oportunidad de mostrar su lado creativo en diferentes estilos literarios como artículo, ensayo, cuento, artes plásticas (donde se incluyen las categorías de pintura, dibujo y grabado), carta, texto en prosa, poesía, carteles, así como audiovisuales y podcasts; cada género ofrece una manera única de expresión que les brinda a los estudiantes la posibilidad de conectarse profundamente y compartir sus perspectivas sobre la vida de Martí
A pesar de los retos que enfrentamos cada día, hemos puesto todo nuestro empeño en llevar a cabo charlas y actividades que fomenten el entusiasmo por la lectura y la escritura. Creemos firmemente que "leer es una manera de crecer, de mejorar la fortuna, de mejorar el alma", como bien dijo Martí. Por ello, cada libro abierto en nuestras instalaciones se convierte en una ventana hacia nuevas ideas y horizontes.
