Hello Hive friends, it's good to have you back here. On this occasion, I bring you my most recent adventure. Which led me to move to the Havana municipality of Guanabacoa. With the aim of reviewing, my visit to one of the most fantastic viewpoints of the capital. I'm talking about La Loma de la Cruz. A place lost in time, and the bustle of the city. That if you accompany me to read, you will know a little about him.
Hola amigos de Hive, es bueno tenerlos de vuelta por acá. En esta oportunidad, les traigo mi más reciente aventura. La cual me llevo a trasladarme al municipio habanero de Guanabacoa. Con el objetivo de reseñar, mi visita a uno de los miradores más fantasticos de la capital. Estoy hablando de La Loma de la Cruz. Un sitio perdido en el tiempo, y el bullicio ciudadano. Que si me acompañan a leer, conocerán un poco de él.

Antes que nada, les dejaré en el artÃculo, un mapa de la zona en la que se encuentra. Para que asà puedan ubicarse y tener mejores puntos de referencia. En mi caso, tuve como puntos, el antiguo cementerio de la ciudad, La loma de la Cruz, y la Plaza Adolfo del Castillo. Sitios de marcada importancia, que eran imperdibles en mi periplo por este sector de la ciudad de la Habana.

Dicho esto, nuestra primera parada, se sitúa en el antiguo cementerio de Guanabacoa. Que como podrán apreciar, destila señales de abandono y deterioro. Debido al número preocupante de tumbas abiertas, cómo de monumentos caÃdos. Y la conversión de sus esquinas, en vertederos públicos de basura. Algo en extremo lamentable. Ya que este lugar fácilmente, entra en la categorÃa de los cementerios más antiguos del mundo. Gracias a su origen, que data de los inicios de la colonización española en la isla de Cuba.

No por gusto, se le atribuye al significado de la palabra Guanabacoa, a una tierra de lomas y manantiales. Sin embargo, con el tiempo, se supo que el significado real del nombre que le otorgaron a este rincón de la Habana, provenÃa de otro lado. Una fábrica de machetes antigua, que tenÃa de nombre de su marca; Guanabacoa.

Tras unos pocos minutos de viaje, finalmente llegamos a nuestro destino; La Loma de la Cruz. Que es importante aclarar, no es la que se encuentra en la provincia oriental de HolguÃn. Sino, el más importante y hermoso mirador de la Habana. Tan solo para que entiendan la magnitud de esta visión, les dejo el dato que se puede apreciar no solo la BahÃa de la Habana, sino los municipios de Playa, Plaza, Cerro, Centro Habana, Habana Vieja, Regla y Habana del Este. Todos conviviendo en un mismo espacio, y en un mismo color.

Dónde destaca, el descontento por la caÃda de una antigua cruz que existÃa. Que según se dice, tenÃa un vÃnculo con la fe católica. Trayendo su caÃda, el rompimiento de la promesa celestial de buena fortuna y bendiciones a la región.

Trayendo como consecuencia, que el lugar no sea visto como un lugar de descanso o bienestar natural, sino como propiedad del estado y centro laboral.

Finalmente, luego de varias horas de descansar en este peculiar mirador. Bajamos hasta la plaza de Adolfo del Castillo. Un lugar en total reconstrucción, que acarrea miradas de asombro. Por el buen trabajo de recuperación, que han tomado los dirigentes de este municipio. Que por suerte, entre tantos errores, cómo olvidar la loma de la cruz, han podido rectificar con el embellecimiento y reparación total, de una plaza de tanta antigüedad. Con esto me despido, no sin antes, dejar un caluroso agradecimiento a cada persona que contribuyó y aportó en esta nueva excursión.
