Hello! My name is Nestor, and I’m a Cuban barber who’s made a new home in Belgrade, Serbia. I’m excited to share my story and my passion for barbering with you, and to connect with people and artists from around the world. Esta plataforma no se trata solo de mostrar mi trabajo, sino de construir una comunidad, compartir conocimientos y apoyar a quienes recién comienzan su viaje en el mundo de la barbería.
From Cuba to Serbia: A Journey of Passion and New Beginnings
Growing up in Cuba, I always felt a deep connection to the art of barbering. For me, it was never just about cutting hair—it was about creating something unique for each person, telling a story through their style. I started learning the craft at a young age, and over time, I became more and more passionate about perfecting my skills.
But as much as I loved my work, I knew I needed to seek new opportunities to grow. That’s when I made the decision to leave Cuba and start a new chapter in Serbia. Moving to a new country wasn’t easy—learning a new language, adjusting to a different culture, and establishing myself in a new industry were all big challenges. But through hard work and determination, I found my place in Belgrade, where I work at a fantastic salon called Oštro.
De Cuba a Serbia: un viaje de pasión y nuevos comienzos
Al crecer en Cuba, siempre sentí una profunda conexión con el arte de la barbería. Para mí, nunca se trató solo de cortar el cabello, se trataba de crear algo único para cada persona, contar una historia a través de su estilo. Comencé a aprender el oficio a una edad temprana y, con el tiempo, me apasioné cada vez más por perfeccionar mis habilidades.
Pero, por mucho que me encantara mi trabajo, sabía que necesitaba buscar nuevas oportunidades para crecer. Fue entonces cuando tomé la decisión de dejar Cuba y comenzar un nuevo capítulo en Serbia. Mudarme a un nuevo país no fue fácil: aprender un nuevo idioma, adaptarme a una cultura diferente y establecerme en una nueva industria fueron grandes desafíos. Pero a través del trabajo duro y la determinación, encontré mi lugar en Belgrado, donde trabajo en un fantástico salón llamado Oštro.
Here in Serbia, I’ve been able to bring the artistry and precision of Cuban barbering to a whole new audience. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m thankful for the clients who trust me with their styles. Every cut, every shave, every detail is crafted with love and care, and I aim to make sure everyone who sits in my chair leaves feeling confident and refreshed.
Aquí en Serbia, he podido acercar el arte y la precisión de la barbería cubana a un público completamente nuevo. Ha sido una experiencia increíble y estoy agradecido con los clientes que confían en mí para sus estilos. Cada corte, cada afeitado, cada detalle está elaborado con amor y cuidado, y mi objetivo es asegurarme de que todos los que se sienten en mi silla se vayan sintiéndose seguros y renovados.
My Vision: Sharing My Craft, Connecting with Artists, and Helping Beginners
But this isn’t just about me—it’s about all of us. Through this platform, I want to share my work with the world, connect with other barbers and artists, and help beginners who are just starting out. I believe that barbering is more than just a job—it’s an art form. And like any art, it’s something that evolves and improves with practice, learning, and sharing ideas.
One of my biggest goals is to connect with people who share the same passion. I want to build a community where we can all learn from each other, exchange techniques, and grow together. Whether you’re a fellow barber, an artist, or simply someone who appreciates the craft, I’d love for us to come together and share experiences.
For those of you just starting out in the world of barbering, I’m here to help. I know how tough it can be when you’re beginning—there’s so much to learn, and sometimes it can feel overwhelming. That’s why I’m committed to offering guidance, tips, and tutorials to help you build your skills and confidence. Mi visión: compartir mi oficio, conectarme con artistas y ayudar a principiantes
Pero esto no se trata solo de mí, se trata de todos nosotros. A través de esta plataforma, quiero compartir mi trabajo con el mundo, conectarme con otros barberos y artistas, y ayudar a los principiantes que recién comienzan. Creo que la barbería es más que un trabajo: es una forma de arte. Y como cualquier arte, es algo que evoluciona y mejora con la práctica, el aprendizaje y el intercambio de ideas.
Uno de mis mayores objetivos es conectarme con personas que comparten la misma pasión. Quiero construir una comunidad donde todos podamos aprender unos de otros, intercambiar técnicas y crecer juntos. Ya sea que seas un colega barbero, un artista o simplemente alguien que aprecia el oficio, me encantaría que nos reunamos y compartamos experiencias.
