Me llamo Rosangela Rodríguez Barrera, tengo 25 años y soy cubana. Aunque crecí en la Habana, Ciudad que me encanta y de la que me llena de orgullo pertenecer nací el 2 de julio de 1998 en la Provincia de Guantánamo, al igual que toda mi familia. Para todo el que es cubano o nos conoce, sabe de las diferencias que pueden surgir entre una familia del oriente del país en una sociedad habanera, capital y la más conocida de nuestro país, por no tener las mismas costumbres, forma de hablar e incluso de pensar. Pero para una familia como la mía liderada sobre todo por mujeres nos hizo crecer como personas y hacernos mas fuertes llevando con orgullo nuestras raíces y el cariño de todos los que nos conocen, porque siempre que estemos juntos los problemas van a doler menos y la vida va a tener mayor sentido. A nivel personal me considero una persona calmada, paciente y familiar, me encanta divertirme con mis amigos y como mujer nacida bajo el signo Zodiacal Cáncer me gusta tener una vida vida pacífica y organizada, soy muy emocional, empática y sobre todo espiritual.

De la vida solo espero tener paz, algo tan sobrevalorado actualmente, mi sueño es tener un trabajo que me permita vivir cómodamente para apoyar a mi familia, una casa que sea mi refugio y mi lugar especial para afrontar con fuerza las dificultades del día a día y sobre todo que mi familia y amigos sigan siendo mi pilar y mi sostén. Quizas algún día me case y tenga la mía propia pero son planes que no forman parte de mi presente ahora, deseo conocer países como España, Italia, Grecia, Brazil, Suiza… quiero vivir aventuras y conocer personas y todo lo que la vida tiene para ofrecerme. Después de todo solo se es joven una vez y con la madurez ya llegará el momento de sentar cabeza y ver como mi vida da cambios inesperados. Y pienso estar acompañada de mis amigos y de los nuevos que puedea formar en este viaje, porque son ellos los que me levantan cuando me caigo, los que me aconsejan, me apoyan y creen en mí incluso las veces que yo no puedo hacerlo. Espero llevar conmigo siempre las tardes en las que en medio de risas y muchas cervezas nos contamos todo y nos recordamos que somos solo un grupo de locos que esta buscando su lugar en la vida.

Soy ingeniera geóloga graduadada en diciembre del 2021 en la Universidad de Pinar del Río Hermanos Saíz Montes de Oca. En todos esos años de vida universitaria puedo decir que me he formado no solo profesionalmente sino como persona, porque la geología fue un descubrimiento de algo que me apasiona hacer pero que sin dudas formó mi carácter, mi personalidad y sobre todo me brindó las amistades que aún conservo y que me acompañan en mi vida profesional. Digo que la Geología es un descubrimiento para mí porque antes de empezar la carrera no sabía que esta ciencia que se dedica a estudiar los procesos y materiales que conforman la Tierra y a comprender cómo funcionan los procesos geológicos y cómo interactúan con los diferentes componentes del planeta, me abriera los ojos a un mundo de conocimiento que hasta ese momento ignoraba. Ramas como la estratigrafía, la geomorfología, la paleontología y la geotectónica son las que más me gustaron. Actualmente trabjo en el Instituto de Geología y Paleontología/Servicio Geológico de Cuba en el departamento de Geología Regional trabajando en proyectos como La Actualización del Léxico Estratigráfico de Cuba, de gran importancia para las investigaciones geológiocas. He participado en eventos como en la X Convención de Ciencias de la Tierra, la cual me permitió compartir con colegas sobre experiencias y anécdotas de nuestra profesión y ampliar mi conocimiento sobre el estado actual de la geologia en mi país.

I am a geological engineer who graduated in December 2021 from the University of Pinar del Río Hermanos Saíz Montes de Oca. In all those years of university life I can say that I have been trained not only professionally but also as a person, because geology was a discovery of something that I am passionate about doing but that without a doubt shaped my character, my personality and, above all, it gave me the friendships that I I still have and that accompany me in my professional life. I say that Geology is a discovery for me because before starting the degree I did not know that this science that is dedicated to studying the processes and materials that make up the Earth and to understanding how geological processes work and how they interact with the different components of the planet, opened my eyes to a world of knowledge that until then I had ignored. Branches such as stratigraphy, geomorphology, paleontology and geotectonics are the ones that I liked the most. I currently work at the Institute of Geology and Paleontology/Geological Service of Cuba in the Department of Regional Geology working on projects such as The Update of the Stratigraphic Lexicon of Cuba, of great importance for geological research. I have participated in events such as the 10th Earth Sciences Convention, which allowed me to share with colleagues about experiences and anecdotes of our profession and expand my knowledge about the current state of geology in my country.

Además de esto me encanta todo lo relacionado al masaje corporal, en la que hace poco incursioné y ya tengo mi primer título como masajista dentro de la comunidad de OMEE (Organización Mundial de Escuelas de Estilismo). Saber que a travéz de mis manos puedo mejorar la calidad de vida de una persona, eliminar su estrés tan dañino para todos y mejorar su función del sistema inmunitario me llena de mucha satisfacción. En esta nueva faceta profesional quiero aprender cosas como la maderoterapia, el drenaje linfático, la quiropraxia y masajes muy conocidos como el Shiatsu para enriquecer mi conocimiento sobre estos temas y todos los beneficicios que pueden brinar. Quizás sea muy ambicioso de mi parte querer ejercer estas dos profesiones a la vez pero prefiero intentarlo antes de vivir con lo que pudo haber sido y no fue por miedo a que no funcione, después de todo sin sueños ni metas no se vive en esta vida, aunque sea esta misma la que al final termine decidiendo por mí.

In this new professional facet I want to learn things such as wood therapy, lymphatic drainage, chiropractic and well-known massages such as Shiatsu to enrich my knowledge about these topics and all the benefits they can provide. Maybe it is very ambitious of me to want to practice these two professions at the same time but I prefer to try before living with what could have been and it was not for fear that it will not work, after all without dreams or goals you cannot live in this life , even though it is the same one that ends up deciding for me in the end.
