Un saludo para todos los hivers de esta gran comunidad de Hive Cuba El pasado domingo 10 de diciembre, fui invitada a asistir a los 80 cumpleaños de Valentín Puentes, un excelente guitarrista que durante 50 años ha formado a muchísimos niños y jóvenes en el arte de terceros y guitarristas y actualmente continúa tocando con gran maestría.

Greetings to all the hivers of this great community of Hive Cuba Last Sunday, December 10, I was invited to attend the 80th birthday of Valentin Puentes, an excellent guitarist who for 50 years has trained many children and young people in the art of third and guitarists and currently continues to play with great mastery.
El evento se realizó en el lovi del Cine-teatro "Juárez" en Artemisa. El lugar tenía la iluminación perfecta y el tamaño adecuado para la cantidad de personas que asistirían, que solo eran lo familiares y amigos de Valentín, pero éramos los suficientes para aplaudir fuertemente cada vez que mostraba su talento ante nosotros, muchas veces acompañado de sus alumnos que no dejaron de demostrar los conocimientos adquiridos.
The event was held in the lovi of the Cine-theater "Juarez" in Artemisa. The place had the perfect lighting and the right size for the number of people attending, who were only Valentin's family and friends, but there were enough of us to applaud loudly every time he showed his talent in front of us, often accompanied by his students who did not fail to demonstrate the knowledge acquired.
Los aplausos y felicitaciones no cesaban, las sonrisas en los rostros de todos parecían ser permanentes, el ambiente era de total felicidad y cuando parecía que no podría ir mejor, a mitad del evento, llegaron dos viejos amigos del homenajeado, Abel Acosta Adama y Pancho Amar, a quienes recibió con un fuerte abrazo, ya que también fueron sus alumnos en algún momento. Y no estaría completo el festejo si no tocaban una canción junto a su viejo maestro.
The applause and congratulations did not stop, the smiles on everyone's faces seemed to be permanent, the atmosphere was of total happiness and when it seemed that it could not get any better, halfway through the event, two old friends of the honoree arrived, Abel Acosta Adama and Pancho Amar, whom he received with a big hug, since they were also his students at some point. And the celebration would not be complete if they did not play a song together for their old teacher.
Para culminar la celebración, Valentín toco una canción junto a dos de sus compañeros de Canadá, la cual nunca había escuchado, pero era muy bonita.
To culminate the celebration, Valentin played a song with two of his classmates from Canada, which I had never heard before, but it was very beautiful.
Fue un maravilloso evento y me siento privilegiada por haber podido asistir y guardar un lindo recuerdo de esa gran personalidad.
It was a wonderful event and I feel privileged to have been able to attend and keep a nice memory of this great personality.
