Over two years ago when I joined Steem, I did that through the Steemit interface, and at that time the platform was mostly blogging oriented. I used to post two to three times a day, and rarely have I had a three-four hundred words article. The trend was to make posts as long as possible, filled with "juicy facts and fiction", and to avoid by all means sharing twitter like posts or short content that would have been considered spam.
Most of my posts nowadays are still pretty much the same length, and design, as the ones of two years ago, and that's the proof that I still enjoy blogging in my simple own way. Hive is, as most of you know, a fork of Steem, and in my opinion this fork has to come with much more than a new logo, a token airdrop to almost all stake holders, and slightly different economics.
I will confess again on this blog, that I didn't believe in this project from the first day of its launch, and it took me a few weeks to see it working, to realize that Steemit is on a loop towards the center of the earth, and that this might be the close to perfect project and community that most of us would have considered as the perfect blockchain based social media platform.
After being active every day on Hive, since its release, I got to convince myself that this is it. I love my time spent in here on a daily basis, I find it quite familiar and easy to use with what I called my second home for over two years, most of my old friends are active in here, and managed to make some more new ones. Moreover I can honestly say that I'm using Hive more than twitter, or any other social media app that I ever had, and the time spent in here is digested with every cell of my internet brain.
Hive On The Go was born around the concept of content creation on Hive, and gravitating on the shitposts orbit, if you can imagine that... That orbit that most of us are ashamed to step on but, slip on once in a while, waiting for it to finally be generally accepted. NO, the community is not intended towards encouraging spam on the platform, trashing the concept of quality or inviting any sort of abuse and misuse of the blockchain.
The main purpose of it, is to make more and more users being active as they feel like, leaving old concepts in regards of quality content aside, generating loads of well deserved and needed traffic, filling feeds with short but relevant content, and stimulating users to interact more, to become more social, and to make Hive main stream worthy.
Thus far, it has proved that it is an honorable blogging platform but, the world of bloggers is not a huge one, and in my opinion, hosting a wider plethora of content on this blockchain will help accomplish our goals of mass adoption. Bringing back, or working on a new niche of content, that once could be named as shitposting will actually benefit the platform, rather than destroy it or trash it.
By no means I am encouraging anyone to spam, abuse, or plagiarize but, the reality is that sometimes we're simply on the go, we have a couple of photos and a moment to share, and by all means we should do that. As much as I adore reading juicy blog posts and get lost in details, sometimes I feel like time is limited, as it really is, and consuming short but, creative and inviting content might allow swallowing more types in one bite.
Long story short, "Hive On The Go" is exactly what the name says it, and needs no further description. If you believe that this blockchain needs, or is appealing, for such content, feel free to post yours through this community, and help it grow. The fork from Steem was an important step towards mass adoption and Hive is becoming a great project but, I consider there's still much soil to be worked on, and proved to be fertile. If you feel like owning a new small parcel of this blockchain join the community and Hive on.
Thanks for attention,
Adrian

Great timing!
I just logged in for the first time with my phone and some lighter posting sounds like a good idea!
That was exactly what I created for. Many times I avoided doing that because I felt I should put more text to a bunch of photos. I guess that has to change. The way I see it such posts should have their place along proper blogging ones, as long as people don't make an abuse out of them. I consider also that one could engage more and consume more Hive content when having such options as well.

Great. Thanks.
A good idea! Although it doesn't suit me, I think it would boost the number of posts.
Hope it will be of use for Hive. I will post as often as I can in it.
Of course! I don't know if I understood how the posts should be, so I'm waiting to see some.
or even shorter. Ceva de genu inspiratie de moment.Something like this https://hive.blog/photography/@acesontop/missing-crowds
I also thought about this genre and I even set out to write such posts. Lately I have only written posts of almost 1000 words. A lot of work and a bit pointless. I like about 250 - 300 words...
I guess that's the sweet spot.
Anyway, I'll fit in here.
Alright!
Just noticed this community!
Looking forward to support each other through plenty of shitposts, (and meaningful content as well lol)
Joined this community as well!
