The rust on that drum, holy crap! Is that something you'll try to clean up or is it too deeply pitted? I do think that's one of the nastiest internal pieces I've seen. (I'm a parts guy for a Jeep dealership.)

Honestly, I'm not sure yet🤣 I've never seen one that bad... heck never seen anything like that, although I'll give it a polish and see what comes out. I think it might be pitted too deep or it might just be surface build up.
If it's pitted it might be weakened, no use then. All of those clutch lining have to be replaced and the solenoids I assume are all shorted.
Might be cheaper to replace the entire transmission, up to the client for this one. He wont be happy the pickup has less than 70000 kilometers on the clock
