Well Hello There Horsepower Lovers!!
Something Out Of The Ordinary!
Okay so we worked on a transmission a few weeks back and we have removed it twice rechecking everything inside the transmission. The TCM doesn't want to learn the adaptations and we've expected it to be something else but the dealership is telling us that the problem is on our side where we worked.
Now of-course this will be the case, this is always the case! It's never something that they did wrong or missed! NAH!
So we've a hunch it might be the particle filter on the diesel supply system.
Got To Be Carefull Now.
This is somewhat of an old car and it doesn't look like it was exactly given a lot of love through out the years, I'll have to be extra careful not to break all these retaining clips on the supply hoses, it'll turn into a major problem as we don't have any of these lying around the shop!
I can do whatever I like to the transmission, that we can sort out but anything motor wise it's a carefull situation to walk through!
However this entire setup doesn't look like it can be too confusing? Two pipes to remove and four bolts, easy stuff!
Oh This Is Simple.
Okay so this is quite simple... I legitly thought it would be some sort of fancy setup in there, it's legitly just a little filter.
Easy going! The filter itself looks quite clean actually, it looks like it was replaced, doesn't it? Okay but that doesn't mean it cant give any troubles right?
Let's get this entire housing and filter a nice cleaning on top of its cleanliness before we put it back.
Some Flaky Stuff!
Well, this is something!
I bet this is what is screwing around in there! A whole bunch of sand caught up at the bottom of the fuel chamber.
Oh those can cause some headaches if they push through the fuel system into the injectors! That can certainly be cause for the motor missidling like it does and why the transmission does not want to do adaptions!
Yeahp but it is always just our faults right! JUST OURS!
It's not a lot I know! It really isn't but that little can cause a very big problem in the fuel system.
All Cleaned Out.
Okay so I did what I could but there is no way in hell that bossman would allow me to pull out this entire fueling system, to be frank I don't really want to do that either.
So whatever fell into the system already is there to stay and hopefully it can be pushed through the system without too much problems.
I did however spray a bunch of Q20 down there so that everything can just get flushed through.
Hopefully this works!
A Few Plugs Out!
This might as well be the problem or part of the problem, there was a lot of work done to the vehicle, suspension and on the motor itself and I bet the guy that worked on this didn't really care that much! It's a shame what people in our trade have turned to.
It use to be men and now it's merely sloppy fuckers! Am I wrong?
One removed plug might not be so bad, but two of them (That we can see) and a dirty fuel reservoir... Yeahp things can be pretty nasty with so many problems! Everything affects everything!
Cleaned up nicely and regreased the o-ring that seals the entire reservoir! At-least we know that much is sorted and taken care of!
The vehicle actually drove so much better! SO much! Before we did the cleaning if you put the vehicle in drive it kept on jerking and jerking. After the filter cleaning and plugging in all the wires it went over to drive and the vehicle behaved normally!
Heck not everyday where one gets such an easy fix to things!
