Well Hello There Horsepower Lovers!!

Too Rusted Up!

Okay so this one is over the edge and I mean seriously over the edge!

It might not be rusted since it can't really rust with oil covering almost everything, here and there a spot of rust can be seen but all in all there is not supposed to be a drop of water inside the transmission and especially so with manual transmissions!

It's bad! Very bad!

But let's dive in and see what we've got!

Check out the gooynes of all that gunk inside the oil pan! Oh and all that gooynes gt sucked up by the oil pump and pumped through out the transmission! Nasty stuff!

Stuff you don't want to happen and that is why maintenance is quite important!

The Odd Part!

Now there is always something odd when tearing down transmissions and especially so with auto's.... there is always something making you ponder about a situation?

Always something making you think how exactly did this happen? I mean how did this happen?

Let's do a run through all of the clutch packs and drums, you'll be shocked to see how they look!

Almost all of the clutch packs are still insanely beautifull, I bet they can all be re-used.
Isn't that a little odd? I mean this guy must have known he has water inside the transmission because it's not like this thing really ran that far with the water inside...

Or maybe this is some insurance fraud thing, laughs it might be you never know what people plan ey!

Never mind the blackness of the clutch packs, some clutch packs are like this, especially the 4x4's and this is one.

In this one you can still see marks on the clutch plate, so this vehicle was never even driven hard to say the least! It's almost like factory!

I Don't Have High Hopes For This!

It should be obvious by now! The valve body is legitly the lowest point of the valve body and when oil and water mixes the water will be mostly sticking to the lowest point as well, especially when the vehicle is shut off.

So that means this entire valve-body is dunked in water...

Now that is insanely bad! I can't even stress that enough!

Yeahp!

So those things work with electricity and what happens to something that carries electricity and it's covered with water.

Nothing good ever comes from that right!

Those solenoids are all covered with a light layer of rust, so the internals is also quite buggered up, of that I am almost certain. I mean we can always fit it back and hope for the best but it would be a waste of time!

Beyond Repair!

Yeahp, so this is just confirmed.

We shall not even consider re-using this valve body at all, it's all gunked up and I don't even want to know how badly damaged and scored the pistons are inside of it. not to mention the fact that the solenoids are also buggered up real good.

What the water does is it makes the gaskets all soft and then they tear up, that means it gets clogged up on the inside of the valve body and that might damage mostly everything on the inside of the valve body, the pistons would surely take the hardest beating of them all.

See what I mean with the gaskets? Not at all good!!!

To sum this one up fair and square, he would need a full rebuild and he has a choice if he wants to use his old clutches, I wont recommend it at all though. Because if they fail it's the client that has to pay and then he will pay twice for the same thing!

Choices and choices and I hope he makes the right ones!
