Married couples might find their relationship shttered along with their expectation if they are not careful to change their approach to marriage.
The truth is that in this fallen world no marriage can ever be perfect like those in fairy tales however, it is definitely realistic to build a strong marriage in the real world and God will help you and your spouse to do so when you rely on him to empower you.
God establish marriage in the garden of Eden as the union of one man and one woman for Life He formed the man from the dust of the ground you breathe the breath of life into the ministry and the man became a living person (Genesis 2:17).
then the Lord God said it is not good for the man to be alone I will make him and helper who is just right for him (Genesis 2:18).
Up till today, this explain why a man leave his parents and is joined to his wife and the two are United into one Ephesians 5:31 this man is to love his wife as himself and his wife is to respect her husband in honor. He design it for the happiness of the human race as a channel for love to be expressed in intimate manner and for production. the only type of marriage for bidding in the holy Bible is marriage between a believer and an unbeliever. Both husband and wives have responsibility in marriage.
Who is a husband?
a husband is a male partner in marriage is the one having authority, a leader; for example, Christ "for the husband is the head of his wife even as Christ is the head of the church.... So wife's should submit to their husband in everything ( Eph. 5:23-24)
a good husband must love his wife just as Christ loved the church and give himself for her. He must provide for his family food, shelters, security, finance, education etc.
a real husband is the Bishop of his house he must be the husband of one wife, vigilant and sober of good behaviour hospitable and must be ready to teach.
(1 Timothy 3:1-2) he must be ready to lead the family in the worship and service to God. He must provide the right counsel for the family, wife and children.
He exert an authority on issus within the family and gives helping hands to his household and others.
