How did your players enjoy LMoP? When @lacking DM'd for our group, we had a TON of fun running that first campaign. I think having gone through it once, I'd add some more red-cloaks throughout the rest of the starting adventure, and perhaps tweak a few other things - but overall I thought the Lost Mines were a pretty great springboard into D&D.

We all had a ton of fun and they all loved it. 2 out of 3 players were entirely new to DnD. I skipped all the side quests and expanded on the Redbrands and Goblins before finding the mine. There are definitely things I’d change a second time around.
It’s a great adventure to start out with and it can transition into pretty much anything else. My players started hearing rumors about giants attacking settlements halfway through. They liked the foreshadowing.
