We are quitting the RV life. Yep, you read that correctly; we are moving out of the motorhome; giving up the RV life. We have bought a house; well, it's a manufactured/mobile home, but it is so much different than an RV. I am not sure I will ever be able to get use to our house not driving down the road. For those not familiar with a manufactured or mobile home, Wikipedia defines a mobile home as:

My mother has decided that it is getting close to time for her to be near family who are willing to help her out. In order to do this, we tried to get Scott transferred to the city she lives right now. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to find anything open so we looked down in Texas. "Why Texas?" you ask; because that is where our farmer daughter is located.

We took a weekend and looked around the Tyler and Longview, Texas, area. East Texas was as pretty as we remembered, but it was in the high 90s and we were not uses to the high humidity. I was so happy to have the air conditioner in the car working. Eventually my mother confessed that she did not want to live in Texas with all of the political craziness. So, Scott turned down the position he applied for and we decided this was just an amazing trip to see a few more historical places.
Why am I not surprised by Momma's confession?
While we were in Texas we visited a place called Kilgore. It is the place that was nicknamed the "Richest Acre in the World." I am planning to write a post in the future, so I will just plop a photo and let you be amazed at all the oil rigs!

Once we arrived back in Missouri to our poor, leaky motorhome we started talking to Mom about what it was she wanted to do when it was time to leave the place she lives now. Unfortunately, she will not be able to stay in the house she is renting because the market value of rentals is more than what she makes on Social Security and places she can afford are not in good areas. Mom told me she wanted to continue to have her independance, but she also felt she needed us close by.
Mom is pretty stubburn, she knows what she wants and that's all there is to it.
We offered to find a place where she could live with us, but she refused because she feels she would not have independance. No matter how I much I tried to explain that she would not lose that, she refused. However, she fell in love with the idea of us doing a duplex or living in the same neighborhood. This means, however, she would have to come live in the same place as we are living. Her requirements on moving to wherever we are were not major.
Requirements:
The city/town she will live in must be outside of a large city and not have major traffic.
She will not live in a rural area; there must be a big city feel.
There needs to be a pharmacy she uses, near-by grocery store she likes, and plenty of shopping places where she can "window" shop.
A good church where she can become part of that community.
The home she will live in is large enough she can have a sewing, guest room, and house her three hutches that holds her "pretties".
Fortunately, we have found the town for her and us.

The new chapter for you all is great. It’s needed aswell and will you be upcycling the RV? Or will you sell it ? I hope you all will be happy there and get the well deserved quiet, and than the decoration for the new home how exciting ,

We are planning to sell the RV and everything we have to fix it. We just do not have the time, money, or youth. It did what it needed to do and now it needs to be taken over by someone else who can show it the love it needs.

Onward and Upward to Partie Deux!!!
I am trying not to worry about Mom. She is such a stubborn and independent woman; especially since Daddy passed away. I don't like that she feels it is time to start having help. I worry that she will not be around longer than if she kept being stubborn.
Keeps her blood moving, that's a good thing, and also the fact that she realizes it is a good thing as well, as there are some things that she should just not do.
Couse, she'd probably just look at me and say, "hold my beer" @xcountytravelers! hahahahahahahahawha
It would be more like, "here, hold my ice water!"
Still, no ladders hahahaha!!!
