This was the first time I saw those insects! I am usually not afraid of getting closer to a bee or a bumblebee, but those looked mean. They are shaped like a wasp, maybe slightly more massive, But instead of the yellow they are orange. They are also pretty fast - wasp like fast.
I think I saw them flying into some holes in an old cut tree stump.
Anyone knows what they are?
Here few of them were feeding on a cabbage flowers. As I sat quietly I notice that some were only interested in the flowers and some looked like they were trying to scared the off?
A territorial war maybe?
As a side note - please admire for a second those blooms! Who would have thought a cabbage can bloom so pretty!
And there are always flying insects around. Bees, bumblebees, butterflies (to lay more eggs I bet), flies...
Such gorgeous white wall of flowers.
Nop... not territorial war :p
Let the woman eat!

Thank you :)
They might be not dangerous since feeding of the flowers :) Might just be pretending to be mean for their own safety lol
Yeaaa they all just pretend.. :p
Lovely white flowers for those insects! These insects look quite threatening with sharp butts! I wouldn’t want to go too near to these.
Lovely sunny day!
They did look mean!
And it was hot hot hot! :p
most likely a species of wasp. never get too close to them though. :) Protect yourself. I was scared while watching. but it's a great photo. congratulations.
I was at a safe distance and din't bother them. But I have never seen the orange ones before.
