Nagelfleck ■ Tau emperor
Aglia tau (LINNAEUS, 1758)
Nun ist es so weit, die ersten Raupen vom Nagelfleck sind geschlüpft. Meine Aufnahmen zeigen die junge Raupe, wenige Stunden nach dem sie geschlüpft ist. Ihre dornigen Ausbildungen hat sie von Anfang an und erst nach der dritten Häutung legt die Raupe ihre Dornen ab und wandelt ihr Aussehen. Bis dahin gibt es nur ein Ziel: Fressen, Fressen und noch mal Fressen. 😁
_Now the time has come, the first caterpillars from the tau emperor have hatched. My pictures show the young caterpillar a few hours after it hatched. It has its thorny formations from the beginning and only after the third moult the caterpillar puts off its thorns and changes its appearance. Until then there is only one goal: to eat, eat and eat again. 😁

Die nur fünf Millimeter lange Raupe zu fotografieren, war eine echte Herausforderung. Die kleine Raupe wollte einfach nicht still sitzen bleiben. Wie schon so oft, brachte eine ordentliche Portion Geduld den Erfolg. Um die Aufnahmen zu realisieren, waren 139 Aufnahmen mit unterschiedlichen Schärfeebenen notwendig.
To photograph the caterpillar, which is only five millimetres long, was a real challenge. The little caterpillar just wouldn't sit still. As so often before, a good portion of patience brought success. In order to take the pictures, 139 shots with different levels of sharpness were necessary.

Die Raupe schaut wirklich futuristisch aus. Für mich ist es immer wieder faszinierend eine Raupe bis zur Verpuppung zu begleiten. Die Metamorphose ist ein Wunder der Natur.

Oh, this is really impressive photographay with patience and hard work for taking a perfect shot. Obviously its an excellent piece of photo shot.
I wouldn't call it hard work. It just requires some patience and perseverance. The rest is pure technique.
