His book The Life of Bees is an admirable work, which combines the wonderful life in the beehive, the "spirit of the beehive" as he calls it, with a text that even the most profane in the matter can understand perfectly.
He speaks of the bees, but he also speaks of a social organization in which each element has its place, and if it represents a weight, it can be sacrificed (like the drones) so that the rest of the hive can survive.
After reading this magnificent book, we come to the conclusion that we know nothing, and that the more we try to explore the mysteries that surround us, the deeper and more unfathomable the abyss of our ignorance seems to us.
