Oh yeah, 70 years old on a Harley is not a very good idea lol. Traveling maybe at 20 k's an hour.
Our town is known as the millionairs retirement town and it is so dreary to sit waiting for some to pull off at a traffic light.
Government is considering a proposal for a new law that all 70 years and older persons must go for a driving fitness test annually. That means every year and I am sure that many are going to buy their way through the tests lol.
Never a good thing, but such is life.

I have heard of such ideas here too, and I believe it would be a real good thing if they'd realize it, but nobody should be able to buy their way through, because they risk our lifes.

It is very different here as corruption rules. You can buy a srap car today, buy a roadworthy certificate tomorrow and buy a driving licence a day after.So, regardless if you know how to drive, or know the road rules, you will be on the road.
You can buy many other things, such as a doctor's PhD degree, false CVs or anything else.
One can even buy their own cops lol.
Such is life here my friend.
Corruption is a cancer in most governmental institutions in all countries, although you couldn't buy a drivers license or other certificates here, I wouldn't bet in that though 😉

One never knows, as maybe your guys are more clever, but maybe also not so.
Sadly honesty seems to disappear with the times my friend, especially where we are concerned.
