Blue tiger butterfly

1004.jpg

I never knew there was a blue tiger apart from the danaid group butterfly that is often seen in my area. The most interesting information for me that I read on Wikipedia about this butterfly is that this blue tiger butterfly can directly absorb the sun's heat through a dark area on the surface of its wings. Light with such intensity can increase flight activity autonomously. In addition, I can also say that the butterfly with scientific name Tirumala limniace in its pre-adult life stage is a very beautiful larva and pupa. The pupas, so far, are the only cocoons I have seen with ring-like golden spots.
