please help me detect the species, is this a caterpillar or a pupa?

Good afternoon everyone ☕ 🦋

yesterday I went to one of the family's langsat gardens which had just been cleaned by workers, we wanted to increase the number of productive fruit plants there such as rambutan, grafted durian and also langsat, there the soil conditions are very fertile so increasing the number of fruit trees is very I think it's good, but to clean the garden I have to use the services of workers because the weed forest grows a little thick, and I'm grateful that all corners of the garden are very clean and it's easy to control every corner.

in the garden there are several Langsat trees that have just grown with a trunk height the size of an adult's waist, the leaves are thick with a bright green color and are very pleasing to the eye, I checked one of the trees by turning the leaves over to make sure that nothing disturbs our Langsat plants. growth, after turning over a few leaves I was surprised by something stuck to the bottom of the langsat leaf and it was dead, and this made me wonder is this a caterpillar or a pupa?

the body shape is like a caterpillar that I shared some time ago, the sides are also equipped with fine, sharp spines, now from this we can assume that what I found behind the Langsat leaves is a "Caterpillar", but the question is whether it is Possible?

but on the other hand, if we look at the tear marks on the back of the species, this shows signs of metamorphosis, and we can assume that what I found was a "pupa", and the question remains, is this possible?

So through this post I want to invite all of you to get involved and give your opinion, is what I found in the Langsat garden a caterpillar or a pupa? This really makes me confused and really hope for your response to make a final conclusion about this species.

so to all of you who found this blog, I really hope you are willing to give me your opinion regarding the species, and I am very grateful for that, whatever your opinion please leave a comment.
