Esta semana les traigo un insecto común pero poco detallado por nosotros en nuestra cotidianidad.
Este insecto es una Polilla de nombre Automeris, que es el nombre científico que tiene, tiene un considerable tamaño, además de lo hermosa que es, sobre todo cuando te pones a detallarla al máximo.
Este ejemplar lo encontré dentro de mi casa y pude salvarla de que mis perros le dieran otra opción, no tan buena!...
Sus colores son llamativos, lo que su envergadura ayuda a mostrarse, tiene en sus alas dos especies de ojos, que al estar extendidas advierte a los depredadores que es un animal de grandes ojos. Los mismos son concéntricos, y tiene colores marrón claro, blanco y negro, donde el negro se asemeja a una pupila y el iris de un ojo común.
Tiene además una particularidad que la le hace ver es su aspecto más cercano, a un animal de grande pelaje marrón, estos pelos cubren todo su cuerpo, dejando en la extremidad de su cabeza una gran abundancia que casi le tapa los ojos de color gris oscuro plomo y sobre ella dos antenas delgadas de color amarillo.
Podríamos decir que es un insecto melenudo!
Otra cosa que llama poderosamente la atención es la degradación de colores y la disposición de los ojos descritos anteriormente, que junto a las alas más oscuras dejan la impresión de un felino, donde la cabeza y las zonas simétricas a la melena velluda marrón oscuro (una nariz), alertarían a cualquier depredador que es un animal que lo esta viendo.
Así que por aca les dejo una serie de fotos que tome con mi teléfono celular.

This insect is a moth named Automeris, which is the scientific name it has, it has a considerable size, besides how beautiful it is, especially when you get to detail it to the maximum.
I found this specimen inside my house and I was able to save it from my dogs giving it another option, not so good!....
Its colors are striking, which its wingspan helps to show, it has in its wings two kinds of eyes, which when extended warns predators that it is an animal with big eyes. They are concentric, and have light brown, white and black colors, where the black resembles a pupil and the iris of a common eye.
It also has a particularity that makes it look like an animal with large brown fur, these hairs cover its entire body, leaving at the end of its head a large abundance that almost covers the eyes of dark gray lead and on it two thin yellow antennae.
We could say that it is a hairy insect!
Another thing that is striking is the degradation of colors and the arrangement of the eyes described above, which together with the darker wings leave the impression of a feline, where the head and the areas symmetrical to the dark brown hairy mane (a nose), would alert any predator that it is an animal that is watching him.
