As usual, I always take a moment to hunt for beautiful insects in nature. Actually, in nature there are not only beautiful insects, but there are many other interesting things that we can enjoy. But I'm more interested in the world of insects. Insects not only give me pleasure, but they also teach me the meaning of patience.
So today I managed to find three types of beautiful caterpillars. The first is the caterpillar of the thosea sinensis moth. I found this caterpillar on the leaves of weed grass. This caterpillar is very unique, on the edge of its body there is an interesting shape resembling legs covered in sharp spines. At first I thought it was the leg, after I observed it it turned out it was not a leg but a scolus. On its back there is a white dot which also caught my attention. If you look closely, this point really resembles a Rotator Lamp.
The second is the caterpillar of the brown tussock moth. I found this caterpillar on the leaves of a wild plant. This caterpillar also has an appearance that is no less attractive than the caterpillar above. This caterpillar has a small and soft body. Its entire body is protected by long, smooth fur. On its head there are a pair of pencil tufts that resemble horns and one on its tail. On its back there are three bright yellow tufts. On the left and right sides of the yellow tufts there are also black and white tufts that resemble wings. On the tail there are two red dots that resemble Rotator Lights.
And the last one is the caterpillar of the nymphalid butterfly. The appearance of this caterpillar makes me shudder. His whole body was covered with sharp thorns. The sharp spines are also covered by other spines that are finer in size. If you look closely, the shape of the thorn resembles a tree whose leaves have all fallen. All that remains are the stems and twigs.
